With the Sam Darnold Trade and us signing Jeremy Sprinkle. Changes the Draft. I have another going on another website. Also everyone had a COW about my last 1st Round pick ,so I changed it.

Cowboys Picks

1-Jamin Davis (6-2,235) LB Kentucky

Reason- At # 10 we are in a bad spot . Horn went off the board at #8 to the Panthers. Penei Sewell went #9 to the Broncos in my mock draft scenario. Who is still on the board is Rashawn Slater,Patrick Surtain, and my pick Jamin Davis.why Davis? LBers running 4.4s are rare. Davis can play MLB or OLB just like Jaylen Smith & Leighton Vander Esch .Davis is very good in coverage. Locking down Kyle Pitts.

2- Alex Leatherwood(6-5,317) OT Alabama

Reason- Came down to Best Player Available. Leatherwood still on the board at #44. Too tempted to protect Prescott's backside for the next decade with Tyron Smith's health. Leatherwood has faced multiple top defensive players in the Pros now and held his own. Top corners have been picked already.

3- Nate Hobbs(6-1,195) CB Illinois

Reason- Tall fast corner coming to start. Can double as a returner. Some smaller corners still on the board but I want some height and Hobbs ran a 4.3 forty.

3-Johnathan Marshall(6-3,315) DT Arkansas

Reason- Under the radar but 36 reps and a 4.75 forty too hard to pass up .

4- Elerson Smith(6-7,255) DE Northern Iowa

Reason- We need another edge rusher to add to the mix. Good size, good speed 4.71 forty

4- Darrick Forrest(6-0,206) S Cincinnati

Reason- 4.3 forty leading tackler on the Bearcats last season

5- Decommadore Lenoir(5-11,198) CB Oregon

Thick fast corner to provide depth 4.4 speed

6-Marcus Norman(6-6,315) OT South Florida

Reason- #77 playing right tackle in video. Big man has good feet to be a swing tackle

6- Bailey Gaither(6-0,188) WR San Jose State

Reason- Ran a 4.45 forty. Future Slot WR. hopefully Cole Beasly clone. Good route runner.

7- Liam Dobson(6-3,330) OG Maine

Reason- My pet cat,top CFL prospect. Roadgrader with a mean streak.

Now I won't lie, some names I haven't heard before but I feel Davis @ ten feels like a reach, and I like the player.

LB's in the 4.4's also include Parsons and Nick Niemann(day 2-3 guy) fwiw.

I don't like Leatherwood as a LT in the NFL. JMO. Depending on board I would of doubled down on defense there. S/DT/CB.
I understand the pick position wise for you, just don't care for the player.

Micah Parsons went to the,Dolphins at #6
Niemann I have to the Packers in the 1st round now. I play impartial when drafting for all the teams . Most corners were gone Kelvin Joseph went right before us in the 2nd round. Leatherwood gets it done. It's ugly but he does it somehow . I feel that Jamin Davis helps the run defense and in coverage. Also teams do not know where any of the LBers are lining up. That is to our advantage . Hobbs is a #1 CB? No,but he can be a #2 for sure. Diggs or Hobbs can grow into #1 they are not far off . Marshall & E. Smith help the pass rush both Forrest & Lenoir can be interchangeable CB or S. OT Norman is being slept on . Gaither looks like a pest. Type that finds a way to get the 1st downs or the endzone. Dobson becomes the future behind Zack Martin

It looks like you taught yourself a lesson. You passed on Surtain at #10, and then said yourself “Top corners have been picked already” by the second round. Learn from your mistake.

Deep corner draft. Surtain is good but Corners like Hobbs running 4.3s still there in the 3rd & 4th rounds . Not sure Surtain is the lock down All Pro All World Corner they make him out to be. I have seen Trevon Grimes from Florida beat him and he was Gators #2 WR. I think Jaycee Horn has past him as the top corner and he went to the Panthers . Why not Slater then?. I just feel he is a OG. I think he is filled out and won't get much bigger. I get this Jason Smith( Rams) vibe from him

Every corner gets ‘beat’ at one point or another. Even Deion. Draft is even deeper at linebacker.

I'm guilty of having bias when I see timb2’s football stuff because he said Trevor Larence would bust simply because he wears his hair longer than most.

He says that long haired QBs don't succeed.
Think about that......

Probably not fair to discredit someone’s entire football knowledge base over that silly theory, but its hard to get past it.

Not really, LB is getting phased out by these JOKER type LBers. Tweeners who are like 216 lbs.. Got lot of 3/4 OLB types but 4-3 LB not many

I manage to find plenty of them. As I said in the beginning, you yourself admit your mistake. But apparently can’t now.

I just don't see Jalen Ramsey, Patrick Peterson,Charles Woodson and worthy of the #10 spot in Patrick Surtain

Let’s see:

Ramsey - drafted at 5 overall.

Peterson - drafted at 5 overall.

Woodson - drafted at 4 overall.

Where do the Cowboys draft again?

It was no mistake. Corners are deep in this draft. You can get them later. I could have chosen Aaron Robinson in the early 2nd but I said that is a reach. All kinds of fast corners in this draft after the 2nd round . Hobbs,Marco Wilson,Paulson Adebo,Tay Gowan,Nick McCloud,DiCaprio Bootle,Ambry Thomas,Trill Williams.

You can thank players like Tyronne Crawford getting 2 sacks againist the Bengals last year trying to save his job as why we are not at #4 in the Draft. Worthless meaningless game ,were out of the playoffs ,and we win.

I'm just now starting to watch these guys.

I like Horn..

I don't mind Surtain but he looks like he could struggle against craftier guys because he is so tall.

I noticed he doesn't get his head around when the ball is in the air.

I do need to watch more of Surtain / Horn. My opinion shouldn't be taken seriously at this point but so far there is times I don't like what I see from Surtain when the ball is in the air and he is in the trail position.

Horn looks like 1 heck of a competitor and athlete as well.. 41 inch vert? That's explosive.

First of all we don't know if he is or not. Probably not, just because those guys are rare. And most of us, myself included, haven't said we think he's any such thing. I've said multiple times every cornerback prospect has shortcomings, be it 4.3's in the 40, size, health, etc. Surtain's no exception there.

If we're waiting to draft a corner until we find one of those type, we may be waiting a long time. Certainly at least next year. But he's (at least as far as we can tell from his college career, measurables and pro day) an excellent cornerback. Can't have the top guy at every position, no team has that. There's no Deion, Donald etc. in this draft at any of the Cowboys' positions of need, which you always have to factor in, you need to minimize risk imho, for this team at this time.

You seem to equate ‘fast’ with ‘good’. If only it were that simple.

I agree. (I know right) lol. Horn is just a little too grabby for me. He will be a penalty magnet in the pros. Surtain's technique is incredible.

There is not much difference in getting Patrick Surtain at #10 then getting a Corner later.
