I prefer to ‘thank’ the organization. One that ‘wins’ meaningless games that ruin draft position regularly. But can’t win the games that matter.

But the point is that the caliber of players you cited wouldn’t be there at pick #10. That’s the point.

Yes. But was only part of it. Just watch his great punt returns, his moves and the ability to slow down and speed up were excellent. And those traits also are a great value to being a cornerback. As well as technique.

Besides, Surtain's mid-4.4 forty time is hardly slow....

Yes but I find a Corner like Hobbs who is faster and a better tackler two rounds later. Surtain hips look tight to me. He shouldn't be the 10th pick. I have him 16 to the Cardinals.

Based on what we've seen so far, yes. From Walter Football: "Newsome's pro day was a surprise to scouts. Sources who were there said he ran faster than expected in the 40, but was not as fluid and did not look as good as expected in the field drills.

Surtain's biggest negative is that he's not good against quicker receivers, like slot receivers. But Dallas has Lewis for that.

And Newsome has huge durability issues, in 3 years he only played in 17 games. That alone makes a big difference....

These are players that will be drafted after Patrick Surtain. There is not much difference. That's the point. I had Newsome later 1st round and Kelvin Joseph at one pick before us in the 2nd round.

No it's not ,it proves this Corner Draft is deep and you can get similar value later. You having the Cowboys pidgeoned holed with tunnel vision blinders on like we have to take Surtain and no other is a weak point

It doesn't "prove" that whatsoever. Your own mock draft shows that. And you even admitted to it. But now you're trying to rewrite what you admitted to yourself. And reaching for one weak example after another. Give it up. You've lost.
