The Chargers trade for Kenneth Murray in 2020 for you Zaven Collins fans

He doesn’t have the skill set of a Leo. He’s an off the ball LB. If we’re lucky you get a Jamie Collins type player.
I have seen some reports suggest his best fit is as a 3-4 OLB. The Leo role is similar to that position.

In recent years, there has always been way more chatter, during the actual draft about Dallas moving up in round 2 than in round 1. With that said, I was thinking the other day that maybe that chatter about Dallas moving up in the draft was actually not from pick 10 but from pick 44. I absolutely think moving up from 44 is in the cards. I also think Collins is one of the guys they would move up for.
If I'm moving up, it's for a Safety or maybe Phillips, that's it.

As we discussed, makes total sense, especially if they have a 1st rd grade on him. How do you envision Quinn using him? He could play all linebacker roles, even Leo.
Not sure. He played Will in college, but he looks more like an pro MLB to me

PFN Insider with strong contacts within the league.
Then I would believe it even less. It's the old argument why would they broadcast who they like. If we picked him at ten I don't think I would watch the rest of the draft.

Havent seen any links to Barmore yet, but he is also a guy I could see them moving up from 44 if he is still on the board in the 20's

There are far better options for the Leo position in this draft if that’s what they’re looking for. And certainly better off the balll options in this draft. Personally I don’t see this team taking a LB in round 1. My bet iis still Surtain 1A and Horn 1B.

Murray is going to get even better.

I remember nearly everyone around here poo poo ing the idea of him at 17 because LB "wasn't a need."

Hysterical what happens one short year later.

If that isn't the classic argument for BPA over need I'm not sure what is.

I was yelling at the mountain tops that LB was a need heading into last year’s draft.

They wont pick him at 10 unless their board is wiped. And with 4 QB's in the top 10, it wont be wiped. Its not their MO.

Future of the position is pretty dire right now. Smith will be cut next year, and we probably wont pick up LVE's option. We have nothing behind them as far players that will be on the roster in 2022

Literally what I was saying last year, and that was with Sean Lee being a year younger.

This team is holding its breath for Luke Gifford for some reason.

The biggest misconception is that Jaylon's struggles started in 2020. He was bad in 2019 too.

I think corner is the most likely. Wouldn't be surprised if they took either of the Tackles, if their #1 corner is off the board.

Unfortunately, we usually know who the Cowboys are taking. Last yr, everyone knew Chassion, was going to be their selection unless something unexpected occurred.

Depends on where teams actually have him tiered. There is some talk that Dallas has him as a top 15 guy. If that is the case, it wouldn't shock me if Dallas started making calls in the early to mid 20's

There was another team that viewed him as a top 15 type pick in addition to Dallas. I think it was either Tennessee or Baltimore. So you would probably have to trade up in front of that team.

That's what I thought too. The other variable is where you pick him, liking a player and over drafting him are two different things. Have we sent anybody to Tulsa's pro day?

Don't disagree about taking Collins at 10, it's a reach no doubt. Not sure who attended, but when Dane says he has a definite 1st rd grade, I trust that to be true.

I think He'll go in the first also.
