The pick is probably one of these players:
Kyle Pitts
Penei Sewell
Micah Parsons
Patrick Surtain II
Rashawn Slater
Jaycee Horn

That might even be their order of who they would take.

If they trade back or trade up from 44 you can add these:
Jaelan Phillips
Jeremiah Owusu-Koramoah
Azeez Ojulari
Greg Newsome
Christian Barmore
Zaven Collins
Levi Onwuzurike
Jamin Davis

I think you can cut that down further:
  • Penei Sewell
  • Patrick Surtain II
  • Rashawn Slater
  • Jaycee Horn
I can't see Pitts being there, and I don't think Parsons is in the mix. I also think Horn is only in the mix if Surtain is gone.

surtain
horn
parsons
slater

our pick is in there some where.

I think we fans want to put the offensive tackles and Pitts at 10. I get the impression just by listening to Cowboys insiders the Cowboys will be all about defense in this draft. Cornerback at #1 and probably pass rusher/linebacker at 2.

I disagree because they will have Sewell and Pitts ranked ahead of the corners and there are some corners that they can get later. They also can sign a veteran corner and linebacker in free agency, I seriously don't see them passing on Pitts or Sewell. They certainly don't want Pitts playing for the Giants.

You saw last year's draft, right?

If Pitts, Sewell, and Surtain are gone and Chase and or Waddle are available, I think there is a good chance that they trade back to 13 or 15. A couple of teams could get into a bidding war that could net the Cowboys an extra 2nd round pick.

Pitts and Sewell are going before 10. The Cowboys defensive staff has been all over Surtain and Horne. Nobody on the staff went to see Pitts or Sewell. The Cowboys offense is set. The team is drafting defense with the first three picks. You don’t draft players to keep them away from other teams. I heard that CMC and Barkley were the greatest running backs in the history of the league. Both of their teams have not been any good since they were drafted.

If CJ Henderson was their at 17 would have been a Cowboy not CeeDee. Surtain and Horne are consensus top 15 picks and considered the top cornerbacks in the class. Pitts and Sewell are not dropping.

If Pitts is available at 10, I am 100% sure that they would take him. One can say that Pitts and Sewell will be gone. One could also say that Chase, Waddle, Smith, and Slater will be gone as well. If 5 qbs are taken in the top 9, 5+6 = 11, so 2 of the guys that will be gone are actually not gone. That means 5 of these 9 will be on the board: Pitts, Sewell, Chase, Waddle, Smith, Slater, Surtain, Parsons, and Horn. 4 will be gone and 5 will be available. What we need is for the 49ers to take Jones at 3 and another qb goes at 4.

Definitely would not rule out horn that fast. He has a lot of fans in the building. Particularly the DC

Not getting a 2nd unless we move further down than that. 18 would do it
No bidding wars happen outside the top 1-2 picks in the draft.
Or least none that give more than about 5% above the draft chart.

it does mean that there will probably be offers though.
But from 13-15 range, if they were giving up a 2nd, they would just trade up ahead of Dallas for fair value and a better position.
