Not at all unrealistic. Like you, I imagine, O wouldn't love it, but it is reasonable, and something close to this wouldn't surprise me a bit.As many noticed, very hard to project this yr, based on no combine, workouts or 30 visits. Here is a mock, not with a simulator, but rather on the rumors of players the Cowboys have been linked to and their projected draft positions:
1-Surtain CB (they are reportedly very high on a particular corner, it's either Surtain or Horn)
2-Holland S (think there is little chance they head into the season with just Kazee)
3a-Milton Williams DE/DT (whole team of scouts attended his pro day)
3b-Togiai DT (Quinn reportedly went to Ohio State to look at him)
4a-Niemann LB (we heard their interest this week)
I am a little skeptical about some of the Milton Williams reports, though you are certainly accurate about what has been reported. For one thing, clubs can send no more than 3 representatives to any Pro Day, so while the fact they might have sent 3 is intriguing, some of the reports made it sound like they sent a swarm.
I do suspect they like Holland a little more than I do. I don't see him as a second round player.
The LB is interesting in what it tells us about Quinn's preference. I think he wants a guy who can really, really run. It is the major reason I'm not so sure they are out on Parsons or JOK.
Collins isn't quite the speed guy, but maybe Quinn looks at him and sees Bruce Irvin. Or maybe the head coach sees Clay Matthews.
