If he wasnt an absolute jerk he would be tolerable. He has a way of diminishing others opinions that do not match up to his own. Classic short mans complex I think. Trying to fight his way out of a wet paper sack lol..to get someone to tell him how great he is. He's the worst kind of team writer...no objectivity.
You are so right. Mickey’s real problem is he is a nasty old guy.

I totally agree. It screws the whole thing up because I need to draft at least 2 LBs, a DT and a CB that can help year one. Can’t get there if you don’t have the extra picks.

We shouldn’t have to think like that but leave it to the Jones’s to think they’ve cracked the code of free agency by not signing anyone worth anything.

Mickey, like a lot of people, still think football is played like it’s 1995.

I completely disagree on forcing defensive picks.

The NFL is not built for teams to play good defense and it’s sure as heck not built to put out consistently good defenses.

Dallas will sit in cover 3 all game and make teams dink and dunk their way down the field like we did before and that’s probably the meta style of defense in the modern game.

If it’s not a pass rusher then I think it’s foolish to force a draft pick over an offensive player like Pitts, Sewell, and Slater.
Devin White thinks you're wrong!!!!

Agree..todays game is vastly different, mostly due to all the rule changes. While his premise might be on point, its not always reality. BPA at 10 needs to be the game here. Staying true to the draft board and the value chart. The good teams do this. If you take need over the BPA your already hindering the teams progress I feel. If Pitts is there, I just dunno how ya pass up on him. Now that would mean you MUST absolutely nail the rest of your draft defensively to make that work...and sprinkle in drafting an olineman to compete for a spot. We would be foolish not to.

bingo. Thats the flip side of the coin. Not many linebackers are as good as Devin White day 1 at 10. ANYTHING less from Parsons at 10 if we pick him, will be a miss. We better be damn sure if we pick him there.

We could've signed Reader for the same money we paid for a pile of bozos and that would've solved a monster of a problem.

------every now and then Mick gets it right.

After its already happened.
lmao good point too. Thats the part of him that annoys me. He's always Captain obvious after the fact. Or "I TOLD YA SO." In reality, he has no idea what hes talking about, hes throwing darts and he admittedly said, he doesnt know much about this years draft crop. I think that should disqualify him totally from having a show or an opinion.

How about we let the FO be true to their board. If the BPA is on offence then draft him, other than QB. Maybe if the FO does their homework and makes the right phone calls, they can trade down for more picks if a QB falls to us.

I am in the minority with this but 54 and 55 would not be on my team by the start of next season. I want a couple LB prospects to push those 2 losers.
No I agree with this^ ..No need to trot out the garbage and expect better results. They suck at FB. This would be a great draft to get 2 plug and play guys.

How about we focus on improving our team instead of shiny toys?

maybe we can do both? It would mean a perfect draft class. My worry is we play with 1 football and how would we get him his touches? Who we benching?

I say we follow the template Tampa Bay used and draft some absolute studs up front and in the back 7. If we can improve the linebacker group and draft us a DT that can stuff the run, we might have something.

Tristan Wirfs was a beast at LT as a rookie for Tampa. He elevated the oline unit immensely and is partly why they won alot of games. People forget that. Our oline looks very shaky.

They don’t suck at FB. That’s the most frustrating part. One guy is always hurt and watched the other guy dog it so now he dogs it. The other guy got his contract and decided his brand building was the priority and best not take too many chances on the football field.

his entire stupid thing is "if they are so good why are they available." lol..but someone needs to tell him that its called the salary cap era and free agency. He is living in the mid 90's still.
