I guess Sewell or Pitts could add intrigue to all this but IMO these are the 2 guys. What’s telling is there have been no whispers of any real interest in any of the other CB prospects that could be had later in round 1 or 2. Forget about a trade down. They won’t want to lose an opportunity at either guy.

I tend to agree with you.

Trade back and pick up an extra pick , then take either one.

Why risk losing out on either of them to pick up what will probably be a meaningless pick later in the draft? It’s going to be hard as hell to make this team unless you play on the defensive side of the ball and we already have 11 picks in the draft... I’d say at least 4 of these kids won’t even make it on the squad.

I agree. Also, watch out for the Eagles jumping ahead of us if they decided they want their top corner.

I would not call an extra 2nd or 3rd round pick meaningless.
The draft is a crap shoot and the more extra high picks you have the better.
But both opinions have merit.

I suspect that Pitts and or Sewell would be the pick in that order if they were available. I think that Pitts for sure would be the pick if available. I also think that Parsons would be a dark horse if Pitts and Sewell are gone.

I like Parsons as much as anyone on this board but I don’t think the team is considering him.

That’s very possible, IMO. That is why I’m very glad that there is both Surtain and Horn that I’d be happy with at 10. Philly could definitely go get one ahead of Dallas.

If they go get Surtain, I’m fine with Horn, who I think is going to be very good. And I’m fine with vice-versa as well.

IMO Pitts is the only guy they will take that would blow up this plan.

Would love to have Horn and Surtain both if their was a way to do that. Wish we could trade both 3rd round comp picks and maybe a 2nd next year, to get back into the middle of round 1 to nab Horn.

We can hope... I’d give up a lot to get him in Dallas.
*I'd prolly come damner' close to suffering *spun race bearings* in my primary final drive train of reasoned reasoning ,up in the ol' wheelhouse* if not an offensive lineman at#1 pick? It's gotta' be that LSU corner,Man .

I prefer Surtain but i wont be mad at the Horn pick at all but i will pick Sewell and Slater over both.
agree. If one of those olineman are there, I'm turning in the card. Fans dont realize how dire a situation we could have on our hands at tackle if we gamble and bank on Tyron and Collins to be healthy and then they get hurt again. It would ruin our season. I know we signed this 36 year old swing tackle lol, but he aint the answer. The dude might not even make it thru camp or make the cut. I mean he's ok in a pinch, but I dont wanna see him and Steele starting for a long period of games. Makes 1000% sense to go out and grab a top flight tackle to protect our Franchise QB that we just paid a ransom for. I mean, why the hell wouldnt we do that?

I know a lot of people would not want to trade up for him, and I understand why.

It’s pretty simple for me: I think he’s going to be a dominant superstar in the league and be so pretty quickly. Having a shot to draft those guys is exceedingly rare and when you can get them, they change the fortunes of the team lucky enough to get them.

It is the same way I felt about Aaron Donald. Would have giving up third round value to move up 5 spots been worth it for him? Yeah, about 100 times over, it would have been.

Were the teams who passed on Randy Moss disappointed that they missed out on him? Yeah, probably.

I feel similarly about Pitts and feel that he’ll be that kind of dominant player.

Could I be wrong about Pitts? Of course. But I really, really don’t think I am. I’m sure enough about him where I would trade up for him if I were in Dallas’ shoes.

As always... we will eventually see who’s right.

I can whole heartedly give you a big copy that, tho, without the proper foundational ground work laid out& constructed, a lighthouse ain't worth it's effort of building if it's preordained to collapse straight outta' the gate
