To the chagrin of many Cowboys fans, the team has rightfully shied away from older, high priced free agents. They usually never pan out the way the team would hope. There are exceptions, Tom Brady, but the vast majority under perform. The Cowboys believe in building the team with youth with a few veterans sprinkled in for leadership purposes. Just look at the core of young talent they have right now. Prescott is 27, Zeke 25, Cooper 26, CeeDee 21, Gallup 24, Jaylon 25, Diggs 22 and LVE 24. Probably one of the better group of young talent in the entire NFL. They’ve got 10 picks to use in the draft in less than 2 weeks so will have another group of young talent to supplement and already stacked core of young talent. The arrow is pointing up for this team and not just for this year but for sustained success. Ignorant fans want the bling of some high priced free agent between breaks with their Madden game. But the Cowboys have a plan in place that is finally going to show the fruits of that labor. Good times ahead. Except for the haters.

The line backers both probably wont be on the team next year.

Actually by the players you have listed, we are pretty thin with young talent

I like their youth and their approach to free agency also. The only problem is that our dominant offensive line is not what it used to be and will almost certainly regress moving forward. So there needs to be a sense of urgency in winning now while the window is still open. Offensive tackle absolutely has to be addressed in the first few rounds so that we have someone that can step in right away if needed and can be a strong starter in the future. But defense has to be the main focus

I disagree on the offensive line. Yes Tyron is on his last leg and if he makes it through the season it would be a miracle but the rest of the line is still solid. Definitely need to get some depth at the tackle positions.

That's what I'm talking about. We need someone in case Tyron regresses or gets hurt

I wish they'd extend Gallup and Gregory before the season. You know, the pretty good players on our team. If Dallas waits until next year they'll probably lose one if not both.

You do the best impression of Jerry on this board; trying to sell the bs before reality hits again - for what, the 27th year in a row. Jaylon is someone to build your core from ? Only you and Jerry have ever been dumb enough to utter those words out loud in front of other people. LVE ? He can’t stay on the field and is one hard hit away from career ending. Another great pillar. Gallup will be gone because they can’t afford to pay him and he is the first person talked about to be traded in the draft. So those are 2 losers and someone who won’t be here. Coop is great as long as we don’t play games on the road. Zeke is ok but slowing down and ties up too much money. And Dak has his stats. CeeDee and Diggs are the only two that are legit. So there are 2 young players, no linebackers, no safety, no tackles, and an aging, hurt oline. And a has-been coach. And Jerry plans to fix everything with rookie draftees. Just stop it. Find another way to get attention.

Anae, 23, Biadasz 23, Trysten 23, Pollard 23, Connor 23, Gallimore 24, Jarwin 26, Wilson 26, La’ell 27, Gregory 28.

LOL, why don't you just go up and down the roster and list all the young players. All NFL teams have them. That is nothing new. Its who impacts the team in a positive way and have a future with the team. That is still up in the air with most of those you listed. So right now, they are just names and ages. The "haters" you so want to identify are just realists without the rose colored glasses on. Tough to hear it sometimes, but thats life. We also want them to succeed FINALLY and not be a laughing stock in the NFL. So we shall see.

This is how Jerry tricks the clueless

The Cowboys have been as good as anybody from 1-10 on their depth chart for well over a decade...this is nothing new

The problem was and still is 11-53 isn't even close to being a contending team...but the fools still buy in
