Jaycee Horn has the most ridiculous coverage resume ever

My hope is to trade back and still come away with Horn but I fear now that his stock has risen to the point were Im seeing Horn being
first DB taken in draft, ahead of Surtain.
These are only mocks, but the general opinion/grade/consensus of Horn has elevated his draft stock to the point that I dont see Horn
being there on a trade down, if you want him you might need to take him at 10.

Surtain/Horne could be drafted as high as 7 and as low as 12. Both are better cornerbacks then CJ Henderson who was drafted 9 last season. Bucky Brooks said that he thinks Surtain/Horne are better then Jeff Okuda, 3rd pick in the draft last season. If 5 quarterbacks were not going in the top 5, I don’t think either one would make it to 10.

Trade down, take Newsome/Moerhig and get another 2nd round pick.

LOL, if Farley hadn’t needed surgery no one would take Horn in the top 15

Highly unlikely both are gone, just do the math, just so many offensive players rated ahead both the prospects.

How is this possible? Jeff Okuda was the top dog, flawless, the quintessential CB, generational talent last draft. I was jealous of the Lions being fortunate enough to draft this guy..

Thats the new spin to justify taking a just good CB in Horn at 10

Horn is nowhere as good as Okudah was coming out of college. He would have barely made the late first rd if Farley hadn’t had surgery

Neither has a consensus draft grade as high as Okuda did
Just because Bucky says it,does not make it so

You do realize that Diggs graded out as the better cornerback right? Detroit knows how to draft them.

No I did not see anywhere that Diggs was rated higher than Okuda coming out of college. I think one season completed, Diggs showed me more that Okuda. Your point?

No. Pitts and Sewell will be long gone. Give me Slater or a trade back. If trade back give me Collins or Darrisaw.

Okuda may turn out to be a baller, but he struggled last year prior to getting hurt.

Guys, drafts are like auctions. Cynics never get the new bit of art, because they can't be bothered to even bid. The only ones in play are the ones who lust after the player the most.

D-

CB is a huge need, but dang I hate spending a top 10 pick on a CB. If Pitts/Sewell/Slater/Chase is there, you make the pick. If not, then I'd prefer the trade down to 20's, getting another 2nd rounder - grabbing either Farley or Newsome with the 1st rounder - then coming back in 2nd and getting two of Collins/Moehrig/Phillips/Browning/Grant/Nixon/McNeill

A rookie corner on a bad team struggled? In other news .. water is wet.. I didn't watch Okuda in college and never saw him with Detroit.. However I will never get caught up deciding what a rookie corner is going to be based on one season.. especially one as weird as 2020 when there was no offseason prop.. These kids went from bowl games to NFL games. That's a tall order for even the best of them.
