Worth a watch, about a 2 minute cut-up zoom interview with Kyle Pitts. Jerry is totally gushing over the thought of having him within our offense. If he gets anywhere near our pick, I am certain they will go get him.

I saw that. A lot of the guys in the Dallas front office are in love with Pitts, with Jerry being the most noteable.

IMO, he’d have to slip to 7th or later for Dallas to make that move... and the problem is, I don’t think there’s any way Atlanta, Cincy, and Miami all pass on him. Therefore, I just can’t see Dallas trading up high enough for Pitts.

I could be wrong though.

I think Cincy would take Sewell or Chase over Pitts. I'm sure Burrow would want Chase over Pitts. I think Pitts lands in Miami.

Engine smokes, transmission won't shift into drive, but behold, look at those shiny new rims.

I don’t disagree.

I think Atlanta could go Lance and have him sit a couple of years, but I could just as easily see them taking Pitts, who they reportedly love. A lot of people who know what they’re talking about just think you grab your franchise QB when you have the opportunity. But Pitts is special.

Cincy, I agree will probably be Sewell or Chase. If they don’t protect Burrow, then his record breaking WR just makes too much sense because they need WR in a bad way.

Miami does have a very good TE in Gesecki so if Chase is there then Miami’s huge need at WR might over ride their love of Pitts. But word is it’ll be Pitts if he’s there at 6. Chase is probably the only way it wouldn’t be Pitts.

I feel like there are just too many “if’s” for Pitts to fall to 7... I hope I’m wrong though.

I guess we could also add that Miami would want to create the next version of "Gronk/Hernandez" with Gesecki/Pitts. Atlanta should go QB and have him sit for two years behind Ryan. May not be up this high again, so in a couple of years they may not have anyone that can throw to Pitts if they go that route.

Frankly, I would go get him. Spend what it takes.

Reasoning.

There are two solid receivers behind Coop, Lamb, and Gallup. If trading Gallup gets the pick, so be it.

This guy is a beast against DB's and LB's. He is more than a TE.

I'd prefer to keep Gallup until the season starts. Injuries tend to make guys like him much more valuable.

And the team still has a wealth of picks.

Defense is important. But this could very well be this generations Randy Moss.

If here’s there at 10? OK. Not the biggest need, not what I would do, but OK. The talent is clearly there. But absolutely NO to giving up draft assets to move up to do it.

I don’t disagree with this at all. Rarely does a team have a shot at a potential ring of honor player, and Pitts is just that.

If he’s what I expect him to be, then Dallas and their fans won’t even be thinking about the cost to get him after his first season.

He, like other great players, are priceless.

But most fans don’t want it to happen.

If he falls fine. I just don't want to give up a 2nd or future 1st to get him or more. 8 and 9 or 9 and 8 forever.

I hear you. I understand that feeling completely.

I just think he’s going to be worth it, like trading up for Aaron Donald would have been worth it. I think he’s going to be that impactful. And if he is... then having him for about a decade is going to be worth it a hundred times.

I felt that way about Donald, and I feel that way now about Pitts.

Jimmy wanted James Francis, the linebacker that went to the Bengals. He promised that draft would be defense.

He moved up to take Emmitt. No two things are the same, but then I just get this feeling Pitts will be a generational player. Schultz and Jarwin are good players. This guy is in a class of his own.

Think after Miami, we have a chance and believe the front office will go get him there. He has to make it through the gauntlet of three teams first, which is highly unlikely. This is the biggest drama for me on opening night.

A third, I will give up, but not anything higher due to our needs on defense.

I think Miami double dips, get Pitts and trades up for Smith, maybe even with us.

Did I say that? If you inferred my comment to mean that, then I wrote it incorrectly. Mea culpa.

But he is a commodity which is a starter day one for the team that makes the trade. You may need to sweeten the deal, but the team is not betting on the come that trades away their slot to Dallas. You have a proven player coming, plus the 10th pick and perhaps something else.

That is exactly the way I see it too. I’d just see what Atlanta wanted for 4.

I think that is what Atlanta is doing right now with other teams. Think they are going Lance and might deal back to still get him, they may even take less. Problem is, we pick too far and Lance will be taken ahead of us in that 7-9 range if Atlanta moved back.

What would you give to move up to 4? Trade chart say our 2 and something else. I would give a future 2 and a 3 this yr for him.
