Will Trysten Hill turn the corner this year? Will be the player Marinelli foresaw or will he be a bust?
I seriously doubt it..... he sucked his first year. showed a lot of immaturity his second year. he showed a flash here and there, but was very inconsistent.....this is his last year in Dallas probably.

If he will show anything itll be next year since hes coming off an acl. And coincidentally its his contract year next year. Hes the exact type to breakout then. He's a loser

SEEMS to be a pattern, doesn’t it? We take a chance on a guy with injury concerns, keep him a couple of years, he does nothing, we cut him, another team scoops him up, and THEN he shows up. And no, I wasn’t talking Taco!

I think he started making strides at the end of the season last year. Yes, I think he will turn out to be a good player.

I say he has a break out year and surprises. He has the size, quickness and initial burst necessary to be a very good player and he was a jr when he came out and immature so we'll see.

Ummm...He didn't play the final 11 games last year, so what strides was he making then? He flashed a little in the first 5 games, but I believe PFF still had him rated one of the worst DL in the league. Not a lot of confidence that he will be much more than a rotational guy at best.

My bad, I must have been thinking about Gallimore.

Physical ability is there. Mental ability not so sure about that. This is his show me year.

He was starting to look better last year but how often he ends up on the ground or out of his gap still bothers me. If he could improve his consistency at using his hands and his balance through contact he could be a solid starting 3T (although I expect Gallimore to be the guy at that spot). We still need another piece at DT but I think it's more at 1T rather that 3T. That said, I still wouldn't be disappointed if we took Milton Williams in the draft just because I think his upside offsets my opinion of 1T being the bigger need.

I don't care where he was taken in the draft nor do i care what the previous coaches thought of him. He needs to show Quin what he can do and earn the start just like the rest of these guys. That goes for the rest of the team. earn that star every camp, and continue that throught the year.

Nope. Maybe he gets a shot in Vegas. I don't see it happening here.

I think Hill will be a solid rotation guy but he was obviously highly overrated by Rod.
I hated the Hill pick from day 1. There was several obvious choices that would have been better picks. I have no expectations for him. I would like to see him develop into a decent starter, but I am not holding my breath until it happens.

He was making progress. But now he is coming off a major knee injury.

It’s not too late for him to keep getting better. But expecting anything out of him would also be foolish for a team to do.

they need more talent at DT. They can’t rely on Hill both recovering from the ACL quickly AND making major improvements in his game in one off season. That’s a tall order.

I doubt it. The staff doesn't appear to be counting on it either, which is good. There is a lot of talk about us wanting a DT in this draft.

My lack of confidence stems from Marinellis awful draft input year after year. I hope I'm dead wrong, but he's probably another Taco.

taco was garbage that literally showed nothing. I think hill is already better than that

If he ever turns out to be anything more than a replacement-level player, I'll be stunned.
