We Really Believing That Two CB’s Will Go In The Top 10?

It’s been a few days since I got on the draft zone but I’ve seen a lot of chatter about two CB’s being gone. Now maybe opinions haven’t been updated post Car-Pats trade groundwork news but regardless this should’ve been pretty obvious from the start.

It’s a math game guys. Whether it be the teams currently selecting or a trade up (which we could all see coming miles away), there will be 5 QB’s taken in the top 10. After the QB’s, there are 3 blue chippers in Chase, Pitts, and Sewell. That’s 8 out of 10 selections accounted for basically guaranteed. In turn this cements us having either Surtain or Horn available, and a solid chance both are.

I know nobody saw Ceedee falling like that last year and anything can happen but outliers aren’t the norm. Why anyone would be expecting two CB’s be taken is beyond me. Anything’s possible but this ones really not likely at all.

Every draft all the offensive guys creep up the draft, then when real life comes around they fall.

You're could be completely correct, but completely wrong about the order they go in, so we could still be out at CB when our pick comes up.

Wow people honestly think a team would take Jaycee Horn over Chase, Pitts, and Sewell. Analysis paralysis to the freakin’ max. We’re talking no brainer top non-QB picks fellas. Not one person has mentioned the CB’s in the same breathe as Chase, Sewell, or Pitts.

Anything can happen, but doesn’t mean it’s likely at all.

Not likely, but it doesn't really matter because we will have a solid choice at no.10, at a position of need.

We want one of these 5: Pitts, Sewell, Slater, Surtain, Horn. Add Chase that is 6. Just need 4 QBs or 2 WR’s to be taken. With all this said, Parsons could be number 6. We are getting either a corner or tackle, with Parsons being the wildcard

You never know. NFL teams generally do things differently than Draft gurus and analysts

They won’t take Chase. Unless they plan on flipping Gallup.

If only 3 QBs go in the top 10 then Surtain and Horn will be gone before pick #10. Lions and Panthers the two most likely teams to go defense early.

I see one corner going, but not two.

5 QBs look locked in to the top 10 and Chase is locked in (Detroit apparently tried to trade up thinking he won't be there at #7). That's 3 unknown picks before Dallas is up, and 2 carry blue chip grades in my book (Pitts and Sewell). I can't see teams passing those guys up for Surtain and Horn. If they do, we've landed ourselves a monster at #10. If they don't, we've got ourselves a CB.

You're absolutely right. Chalk says one of the two top corners are there. But there is a legit path for them not being there.

I think Chase, Pitts, Sewell are the top 3 picks after the QBs. I also believe Miami and Cinci are staying put. I don't know about Atlanta. But if all three teams stay put, we'll have 2 QBs on the board from 7-9. Two teams would have to trade up to take QBs for Dallas to have a CB available. If only one team does, it's certainly possible two out of the three remaining teams take the corners. It's also possible one of the remaining 3 might want a QB, I don't think we know. This is why I think you're right. There's a much higher probability a corner is there than not.

Atlanta needs defense and a rb. So, I will be shocked if they stay at 4. I see NE trying to pry that pick from them. BB once trade a first and a 3rd for Brandon Cooks. He's built his dynasty with mostly crappy draft positions and he desperately needs a QB. Cam Newton will get him another top 15 pick next year.
