I just feel like he doesn't fill the hole and we already have that with Jaylon. He's a read and run LB same as Jaylon. I didn't want a corner and am glad we didn't take one but I would love to see us focus on the defensive line in round 2 and maybe a guy like Adebo in the 3rd or a trade up.

He has to prove he can cover or it’s a bust.

He runs a 4.39 40.. NFL linebackers in this era have to be able to cover.

He’s just a old school sideline to sideline and downhill guy.

That’s cool until Andy Reid decides to spread your team out and isolate you and get you cover TEs that run like wideouts and RBs who can play like wideouts.

Im not saying he can’t cover but it’s a projection.

Have no fear. I hear this guy is the best defensive player in the draft. Jerry and Co. had him rated higher than the CBs so we should feel privileged to watch history being made.

Where were you when Parsons was drafted? I was on the john.

I know he’s fast I know he can run but can he mix it up in the middle and fight his way through. Every college lber can run and tackle run and hit but not every college backer can shed a block and make a tackle. He also looks a lot smaller on the firld than his height and weight listed. Anyways like I said I perfer him over a corner just hope he’s not a bust.

Well we won't play Andy Reid once every 4 years when he might not be coaching anymore in the future. I mean who has LBs that can cover TEs on a consistent basis. You are really stretching here.

I was on a small pull out sofa. With a glass of orange juice. It was so fresh.

Is running a 4.39 40 supposed to be bad for coverage? His 3-cone was elite as well. Athletically he's blue chip. He just needs proper coaching/scheme. LBs that are big and fast and can play 3 downs are hard to find and worth a high 1st rounder. Should be nothing like Jaylon because he doesn't have the near career ending nerve damage knee injury.

This is the guy that said beatherd and kaaya were better than mahomes. If Crotch17 doesn’t like him he’s a shoe in for the Pro bowl.

I agree, I've read the scouting on him...

However, considering how the rest of the 1st fell, Cowboys win. I don't see that they could've made a better choice. Most of their alternates are still there.

Couldn’t you argue that every high pick is boom or bust?
No. There’s just parts of his game that scare me a little more than most but he also has some amazing tape too. I guess I’m just worried a little about him playing in this defense where we still have a terrible middle of our d line

why don’t you start educating yourself by doing some reading and watching tape.

I can't say I've watched every snap he's played but it does seem like he engages blockers and sheds blocks well. In his highlights he does look similar to J. Smith.....pre-injury, the projected top 5 pick that Dallas hoped they brought in, but a bit more physical. This is a good thing.

I do hope he's able to hold up in coverage and it seems at the very least the physical traits are in place. Year 1, rotate with Smith, LVE, and Neal to get a feel for the game. Nothing is definite bit I think this puck is gold.

I watched a bunch and why do I have to read what someone else thinks if I watch? Sorry not like you where I read someone else’s opinions and then watch his highlight tapes. That’s real original

The problem won’t be Parsons. Have to get better on the interior that’s for sure.
