Because a lot of people in this forum are young kids who don't think before they type. They are in love with names not understanding this team is using a differs type of drafting philosophy. Speed is the new pre-requisite in Dallas. SPEED,SPEED and more SPEED. This was why the LOB was so effective. Nobody heard of Sherman Williams until the LOB was working. Sherman was drafted in the 5th round, Browner was undrafted.

Sherman Williams = bad former Cowboys RB
Richard Sherman = former Seahawks CB

I get you might not love it because you would have picked player X over Y... But seeing this front office pick defensive player after defensive player is refreshing. It's almost like they realize their D was historically bad and want to improve it.

I like the intent.

I don't watch much college so I rely on people who do. Seems most of the draft sites have guys we picked rated lower than our board. That hasn't been the case for years in our drafts. So what's changed? Just a covid thing and we're better at scouting then everyone? Too much Quinn influence? Won't know till camp but if these round 3 picks fail to make an impact on the field or can not beat out reggie or anae then it's a failed draft.

Just because a player is a reach to you, doesn't mean it was a reach to them. No ones to say such and such would have been there 4 rounds later...

Swap out the words 'improve it' and insert 'add to it' and you've hit the nail on the head with the players they have taken so far.

You need depth on the d-line. Just because a guy isn't starting doesn't mean he isn't contributing. It's a rotation. It's circular. It's like a carousel. You pay the quarter, you get on the horse, it goes up and down, and AROUND. It's circular. Circle, with the music, the flow. All good things.

It's 2021 you don't look for backups in the 3rd round.

Not sure that is saying a lot but hope they are better than i think
That would be 3 starters from the first 3 rounds. That's not terrible. If they grab a guy like Washington or Johnson next that could be 4 starters in 4 rounds. Can't ask for more than that

When everyone including the sisters of the poor were running right up the middle on us, tell me how speed was going to help there?

Too close to the stupid 'quick twitch' Marinelli obsessed about.

It's time for the annual "greatest draft evah" threads, patting Jerry on the back for another April/May victory.

By the way 9th ranked corner when 6 went in the first round...... so only 2 corners should have went in 2nd round
Joseph is as talented if not more talented then those 2. . . oh and by the way, He knows how to shut down and blanket Philly's new weapon

Absolutely he does. Problem is some of these folks only read mock drafts and never watch the film on these guys and form their own opinion. They go off someone else who could be biased. Then when Dallas drafts someone they haven't heard of the first thing they say is.... that pick is terrible, could have gotten him much later, he is such a reach

What is the Cowboys grade on him? You don't know, and neither do I.

Teams aren't in the war room looking at your favorite mock draft site.

Im gonna go with what they have .

If you listen to Boss man Fat you hear an emotional kid trying to find his way. I believe his Brother was murdered but don't quote me.

Hopefully our new D Corordinator can make Joseph fell at ease and bring the best out of him.

When I watched him play all I saw was a blanket.

Mr. Heisman was 0-3 against him and Joseph got his hands on the Ball.

Besides . . who don't like their Corner Backs Viotile

I don’t really get this line of thought. Sure teams might have some variance with the players in terms of draft grades, but overall they tend to be close.

The players selected in the 1st round are there based on tape and performance, there wasn’t a bunch of teams going off script for the best players, I mean the Jags didn’t take some QB who wasn’t the consensus #1 pick. If the Jags took a guy most teams / drafts had as a 7th rounder people would throw a fit, it isn’t really done, you play the odds.

Not sure why we just give our front office the benefit of doubt here, they were bad last year and continue to make poor choices.

If our boards don’t match the rest of the league, I’m going with our board sucks, not the other 31 teams were wrong and we had the “secret sauce” no one else had.

If we actually were performing on the field, then the team gets the benefit of doubt, but Jerry long ago burned all that up.

He mirrors a receiver all the way down the field. On tape you can see him not over commit on double moves where receivers fake a fade or go route and try to run a slant and he stays with inside leverage and keeps his hips in perfect position to attack when they break to the inside. Our corners have been killed with slants. I also noticed if a receiver beats him and tries it again he shuts it down. Has a "dawg" mentality to him.

The only thing with him is he is young and has had maturity issues. I'm not sure about his brother being murdered but would make sense why he has done some of the things he has. With a good locker room presence I think he can be mentored and get away from those problems. I tweeted that Dak called him and he respected Dak as a leader and said he can't wait to meet all his teammates. That's positive news
