RELEASED Cowboys waive Antwaun Woods

Yeah, seems a bit premature. It could be in Quinn’s analysis of the roster he wasn’t a fan of Woods. In a strange way they may doing him a favor by cutting him now so he can latch on with another team.

That said, he seemed like decent enough rotation player.

Or Woods was part of one of the worst defenses of all time and more that they filled the position with multiple draft guys and free agents its time to get rid of some of these players. I much rather cut them now and let these young guys get these reps

That said I'm not upset at dumping the dead wood/average garbage that they have been running out there recently.

He is on that list.

Because he's less than being "Just A Guy".

He's been consistent... Consistently below average.

I told people Osa would bump Woods off the roster. Folks didn't believe me cause they said Osa was a reach........ dude is a steal, same thing with Golston bumping Armstrong off the roster

I think Golston is more likely to push Anae off the roster than Armstrong...but I don't think there's any way that both are on the roster.

Go watch his actual film. He could absolutely play 1 tech but is versatile to play 3 tech as well.

Anae is a draft pick from last year, I doubt he gets cut.

Golston is better than Armstrong right now and he was brought in from different coaches. McCarthy or Quinn has 0 ties to Armstrong

Armstrong has been here and hasn't done squat. Anae has potential plus an inch isn't going to be the difference of cutting an upside guy that just finished his first year over a guy that isn't better than a rookie they just drafted and has been here a few years.

I almost bet anything Golston and Anae will make the roster over Armstrong

Woods overstayed his welcome by at least one season.

The mere fact that Woods is a "Leader in the locker room" says everything we need to know about that defense.

He can't play DT, might as well get into coaching.

Just like he loved Heath and Matt Johnson and all these other players that got cut. Jerry loves every player unless they do him wrong.

It's possible Armstrong makes the team but I give it 95 percent chance he is gone
