Yeah, I agree. Woods was very disappointing last year. Gallimore was light years ahead of him and Hamilton was much better than Woods. Woods just looked like a clone of Poe.

Yes the offer had been on the table since the start of FA period in March. Same for Cedric Wilson. They both signed before the draft.
So this is not surprising. I posted near the end of March, if the draft goes their way, do not be surprised if Woods is cut to save cap space.

And IMO he was a bubble player anyway. Good enough to make a team, but not good enough to be a difference maker. He is just a cap casualty. As Pallmore and Hamilton would normally be waived first.

Yes but what they offer is not that far off from what Woods offers vs. cap space. Woods was not making the team anyway, nor will Pallmore or Hamilton, the ones he would compete with.
He could return for less during TC if they need a body or if injuries occur.

And Quinn has zero ties to Anae and his 32.13 inch arms either. I'm not attacking the player, but there honestly does not appear to be a role for him in the team's new defensive scheme.

Woods was one of the "poster boys" on WHY the run defense was the WORST in the NFL last season.
