That's not what trading down from 10 to 12 was all about.
Man I can't believe they aren't getting applauded more for it....ltierally everyone in this draft before it said if somehow Surtain was gone we should trade down and get Horn.....if not Horn someone else...that was before the draft fell the way it did but its what we all wanted but didn't think they'd do.
And in this case, saving actual capital and with the Cowboys, every dollar counts. They do like keeping their own.
They definitely made the right move. After the corners i yelled at the tv for them to trade back. I was a little thrown off it was with philly and only netted a 3rd. But its aiight. I was hoping the pats wanted to move up for fields.
I got nervous based on how many playmakers on defense were left...Parsons was the only guy there and by that point he was who I wanted to target so a trade back kind of scared me there but they traded back just enough to net a 3rd rounder. Hate it was with Philly but I think I'd rather Philly get Devonta than Giants.
I would have called the giants and been like swap 1sts and your 2nd or eagles gettin devonta
But they still have to pay that 3rd pick. I don’t know how much but but going from 10 to 12 didn’t save all that cap room. They only one affected by pay is Parsons.

Rumor is the Bears offered us the same deal the Giants took. Basically we passed on their 1st this year and next year along with their 3rd this year.
Fair point but it’s probably two separate issues. While we’re at it we could throw in all of the bad deals we’ve made in comparison. Why just limit it to this one?
Yep but curious why we didn’t accept the Bears offer? We could have picked up their 1st next year as well. And why the Giants took it .
