In typical Fitzmagic fashion, I expect the Commanders to come out of the gate hot. They'll look like they're rolling and eventually loose some sizzle. I suppose that defense could carry him some but history suggests it will be the same ole' song and dance.

Giants, I don't really know where to peg them. Questions on defense and QB still.

Philly could surprise, but them moving forward with a new regime, I think they'll still be finding their identity.

I think Giants can potentially be the best team in the division. Personnel wise they are the most balanced team in the division.

Yeah I'm most definitely not counting them out. Should (hopefully) be a good season. Seems like the NFC East, whether the teams are all hot or not, is always a close race.

One reason why I think that Fitz might be a good fit there is this. He will have a defense he can rely on and not have to press as much as he has in the past. When he presses, he slings it around and gets careless. When that happens, the INT’s pile up, and the magic is over and he heads to the bench.

With a better D to fall back on, I think he’ll be less likely to press and less likely to get careless.

I have to be honest.....if Taylor Heniecke starts this year.....it would not shock me. I wonder what's the over and under on games Fitz starts for them.....

This says it all. Division is bad.
Maybe last year.

But mind you this whole division had coaching changes and Philly has had a coaching this year.

I would be careful in assuming the product you saw last year has any bearance on what we will see this year. Commanders and Giants have improved and I'd even go as far as to say the Cowboys have improved as well.

Just my opinion but I think Fitz is their best option by far.

I agree. While I think the Eagles are far worse. They’re the doormat until proven otherwise.

The Giants treat their OLine like we look at our safeties. Barkley being back should help, but I don't think it'll be enough.

I am actually more shocked the Giants did not use a single pick in the 2021 draft on offensive line. Their roster is littered with UDFAs and late round picks on the OL. They did draft Andrew Thomas (1st round) and sign Nate Solder (1st round), then draft Will Hernandez (2nd round) though. Thomas and Hernandez have been disappointing so far. I thought Hernandez would be better than he has been. The Giants OL will determine if Jones will improve.

And he wasn't good the previous two seasons and no both of the rookies were terrible while Hernandez repressed again. They had a terrible OL and lost their best lineman. Waiving it away like you're doing has been their downfall for many years now and they literally did 0 to fix it.

your saying Thomas was terrible? Peat and lemiuex have not even played a full season. Hernandez got sick and lost his job to lemieux in the process.

waiving what away? You butt in and deliver your sniper comment without understanding what I was even responding to. The comparison was the giants treating the offensive line like Dallas does safety. Simply a false ignorant statement

the giants downfall has been bad coaching and bad defense since coughlin left by the way. They have corrected that. Historically the giants and Washington win on defense and both are in position to do that again.

Their downfall has been pitiful offensive line play and they cut their best OL and did nothing to replace him. Lemiuex and Peart are terrible football players. Solder hasn't been good since he signed with the Giants and Hernandez has regressed. They also lost one of their big three up front on their defense that you're crowing about. I'd put up my pompoms if I were you. They were 6-10 and lost much of their lines. Their QB threw for 11 TDs. They're not a threat.

At their best I'd agree. But I think those players really like Taylor. He's the underdog. It just depends on what Fitz they get. What do they do when Fitz has that 150 yard and 2 interception game? How many of those games is he allowed to have?

Yeah and honestly you could probably argue they got better on offense but yeah I'm not a fan of that team at all especially with a new coach. Plus it seems like they don't really even care about winning this year with the draft capital coming to them next year.

Fitz usually starts out the first part of the year on fire, throwing bombs and looking great. Then he seems to fade in the 2nd half of the year.

Fitz is definitely better than Dalton.

I'd rather have Dalton. If they are both on their A Game....then give me Fitz but he has a much lower floor than Dalton does. I mean Fitz can go out there and give you 0 touchdowns 2 picks and 150 yards. Dalton isn't that bad even when he got COVID.

That is usually when he gets the hook, yes. But I connect those to when he feels he has to press and carry the team. My opinion is that he will be less likely to make those mistakes if he feels he doesn't have to carry the entire team. And I think that's their rationale in signing him too.

I just find their recent decisions to be foolish and things that will haunt them for a few years. And their cap is a mess over the next few as well, likely as like as this 'mistake of a head coach' is actually there.
