I'd rather have Dalton. If they are both on their A Game....then give me Fitz but he has a much lower floor than Dalton does. I mean Fitz can go out there and give you 0 touchdowns 2 picks and 150 yards. Dalton isn't that bad even when he got COVID.

Funny quote from Ryan Clark here: No one in the world has ever said that they're a Ryan Fitzpatrick away from being a super bowl contender.

Is there any talking head wrong more than Mike Greenberg? I used to listen to Mike & Mike just to get my picks set for the weekend, a 6 year old girl could out pick him just going for the color of the uniforms.

I just find their recent decisions to be foolish and things that will haunt them for a few years. And their cap is a mess over the next few as well, likely as like as this 'mistake of a head coach' is actually there.
They literally did a deal with the devil to win that SB......maybe it was worth It since they got a ring but man....I'd advise no team to follow the blueprint for what they did. I at least want to contend somewhat after the SB.

I saw that the other day and was laughing...

It just kills me these talking heads are trying to convince themselves that Fitz is about to do something he's never done? He's been a career journeyman.....and now he's the answer to the Commanders? Clark was correct. I get they were desperate though and it wasn't much out there.......

I thought the 'deal' was made afterward that Super Bowl win, when they just kept on signing, trading, spending, and kicking that can down the road.

But now that house of cards has fallen down.

Even w/an extra game our Boys are the only projected NFC team to win the division w/a win line under 10.

With Dak back in action, Dallas has made it clear they feel their time is now, & 2021 will be the year to get over the hump. BOOM!

Maybe last year.

But mind you this whole division had coaching changes and Philly has had a coaching this year.

I would be careful in assuming the product you saw last year has any bearance on what we will see this year. Commanders and Giants have improved and I'd even go as far as to say the Cowboys have improved as well.
Do you play Devil’s Advocate or is being argumentative or disagreeable just your thing? The Eagles lost a SB winning coach. Their FO is a mess. The Giants suck. Period. I will give you the Commanders. If they can get a QB going they will be good.

I applaud you for saying Commanders.

Their downfall has been pitiful offensive line play and they cut their best OL and did nothing to replace him. Lemiuex and Peart are terrible football players. Solder hasn't been good since he signed with the Giants and Hernandez has regressed. They also lost one of their big three up front on their defense that you're crowing about. I'd put up my pompoms if I were you. They were 6-10 and lost much of their lines. Their QB threw for 11 TDs. They're not a threat.

noted.

not a threat. Got it marked down.

I must have missed it. I thought they spent a 3rd rounder on the OLine.

OK they spent their #4 pick on an OT last year. My bad - thanks Google.

They didn't pick any OLine this year.
They signed a legit swing tackle who has played more and is healthier than the past 2 guys. Knight and Steele now have a season of experience as starters with the rookie getting his first offseason of training. Everyone will be better this year, plus the drafted OT. No one taken in this year’s draft would have walked into a starters job except maybe Slater at guard.

If you want to confuse being a realist and knowledgeable about other teams in our division as playing "Devils advocate" then so be it. But I'm not going to sit here and lie to you and tell you the division sucks.

I'm also confused to how you can think the Commanders will be good but the Giants won't....when they've made even more upgrades than the Commanders and they also had a good defense.

I made no absolutes. I'm not telling you what will happen. I'm saying based on personnel and what moves were made the NFC East looks like a 3 team race and all 3 teams made big moves this offseason to improve their flaws. If you can't see that then so be it.

Pretty sure the offer from New England is in your inbox.

Maybe tone in down a bit. This is a fan forum. Many opinions here. This might surprise you but your opinion holds no extra value.

I think that both Washington and NY are going to be significantly better this season than they were last year.

Washington will be improved at QB with Fitz. He’s not great, for sure but he’s better than what they had last year by a stretch. They’re improved at LB and WR for sure. They will have a tougher schedule but they’ll be better.

NY will have Barkley back and will be significantly better at WR. Plus, I think their defense is going to be improved and by the end of last year, they were already playing pretty well defensively.

Both of those teams are going to make things more difficult, IMO.

Of course, the biggest improvements in the division will probably be in Dallas. Getting Dak back is huge, and swapping out Nolan for Quinn might end up as the most significant move in the division. Defensively, Dallas should be much improved. Parsons could end up being a game changer if they truly use him as often in the pass rush as they’ve hinted they would.

Overall, the NFC East should be significantly improved. Anyone thinking Dallas should walk away with the East isn’t being rational about these other teams, I think.

Well said.

Folks wanting to trumpet the Cowboys as favorites can use all the logic in the world but it all falls upon deaf ears until I see an improved product on the field. As you said, just being better than the 2020 division rivals won't be enough.

Are we never not favored to win the East anymore? We rarely win the East when we are favored. I'd rather them say we are going to stink it up. Then we may actually be good.

All the nfce teams should be better this season. The 3 new HC's last year are in their 2nd year now, have some new draft picks,
some new FA's so maybe they play the non divisional teams better and get more wins there.
All the div games will be tough. I dont think any of them will dominate the div games.

I think Wash has the edge, to repeat winning the div, but cowboys and giants should be in the mix.
Philly I have no idea, new HC, so they are a wait and see deal.

people over estimate dak and the dallas offense, so I dont think they will be all that good. Kellen is still OC, expect more 50 pass games.
MM if his game mgmt doesnt get better , he will cost them some games, as he did last year.

If a team wants to win the div, they need to get more wins in non div games. That is the key. At least 6-7 wins in those, then 3-4 in the div games.

No real comment.

Just enjoying your avatar.

:omg:

As bad as Dallas was last year Dak probably gets them into the playoffs. There are probably 3 games last year they win with Dak starting. He alone will make a big difference.
It will be a team effort but you are right, he is a force multiplier that makes others better around him.

Cmon, Dalton was horrible last year.
