I haven’t read through the thread but I’m sure you’ve been told that the only similarities they have is the school they went to.

Bradie James was getting to where he was a liability in the era he played in.. He’d struggle in today’s game.

Cox can run and he can cover. He may struggle against the run early on but he’s a big safety at linebacker.

I would not be too excited to bring up the average Bradie James, a middling LB here and a blip on the NFL radar. Our trouble is that Jerry has spoon-fed us so long on mediocrity we bring up names such as James and get giddy.
Cox should do waaay better here to be remembered fondly.

Cox is what Bruce Carter was hoped to be. Specialize in coverage.

I thought Carter was destined to be our next great LB. I still like him, but he didn't live up to the hype. Carter actually had 5 ints in 2014. He was fun for awhile.

James was more of an inside thumper where as Cox is more finesse and can play the pass. Cox likely matches James career total of picks this season alone

Good point. I liked his game, but Brady struggled against the pass.
