it is not weird, but dried turkish apricots are one of my favorite snacks
Idk what a turkish apricot is but I like dried apricot (not completely dry, shaped like little ears). Some dry fruit looks like it has been left out in the sun for 20 years and resembles those plant clumps used in aroma baskets, not a fan of these

Turkish is just a strand of apricots. Like how you have different types of apples. Yeah, i dont like them completely dry, a little squishy and moist

My midnight snack:

An english muffin with a slice of cheese on it, usually velveeta. I microwave it for a few minutes until it browns up and gets crusty just to the point of burnt but not quite. That cheese gets in the nooks and crannies too. I love burnt cheese and this hits the spot

use the oven or toaster oven. Use a lighter over the microwave.

Man, that reminds of when I was a kid, and microwaves first hit the scene. I would put BBQ sauce on a piece of bread and scatter pieces of sliced american cheese over it. Microwave until the cheese was bubbly and brown. I ate a ton of those.

I came along after that, and grew up with a toaster oven. That sounds like destroying cheese to me

Maybe not that strange, but I've always liked canned meats. I've been an avid backpacker/outdoorsman since I was a kid and we ate everything out of a can. I still love Spam, sardines, smoked oysters, and Vienna sausages. If my wife isn't home I'll still crack open a can occasionally for dinner. Canned tamales are good too.

I recently purchased an air fryer. While I haven't cooked anything unusual in it, it is an unusual way to cook. Grilled cheese sandwiches in an air fryer? They were fantastic. Roasted corn on the cob? It came out perfect. My garden it putting out a bunch of squash and zucchini right now and I've been frying it right off the vine in the air fryer.

Food

Foot long tuna sub (double meat) with cucumbers, pickles and brown mustard on whole wheat. Subway and Firehouse Sub folks always get a blank look on their faces and ask that I repeat my order.

Drink

I can drink hot or lukewarm Coca-Cola straight from bottle or can. It bugs the heck out of my wife. She will ask, "Do you want to put it in the refrigerator first or get some ice at least?" I say 'Nope. I'm good.' and start drinking. She rolls her eyes every time.

I dip my pizza crust into my coke. Also knew a family growing up that didn't have a ton of money, sometimes would see the kids eating taco shells with catsup on them, thats it.

You know the temp of the drink is only a human condition. Cold seems to sooth the mind. However, once its in your body for a few mins it warms anyway.

I absolute don't recommend this but, my grandfathers treat was raw hamburger and mustard sandwich. He would only do it when grandmother went to town and bribe me with orange slices not to tell.;):laugh:

I have a friend who will take steak umm right out of the freezer and eat it.

I can’t think of anything too odd that I like.

I like pizza with bacon and broccoli. Some people find that weird.

I know somebody who will mix his spaghetti with his side salad.

so like. Spaghetti with marinara. And then take the side salad with ranch dressing, mix it all together and eat it.

I think it looks freaking gross as hell. But he swears by it.
