Ouchdammmm!!! I knew he hadn't been good, but didn't know he was that bad!!!!!
Those stats don’t tell the whole story.....he’s been throwing to crap and he’s been adequate as a runner. That’s stats are skewed by the games he came in as relief for Lamar.

He started two games.

Just take the “L” boy.

Just go with Gilbert.

Next year we need to draft a guy and get rid of either Dennucci or Gilbert.

I wouldn't be too surprised if some decent backup QB shows up once the final cuts are in. :)

Other than that, I guess all half decent potential Cowboys' backup QBs will be acceptable! o_O

Hundley will take the vet minimum. Let him compete with GG. Best we can do for now.
I've stopped caring what Fisch says. His "insider" had us taking UDFA Wilson in the 2nd round. He is using RG III as a name to get clicks. Nothing more.

Are there really things that the Cowboys believe Driskel and Hundley can do that they believe RGIII cannot do?

FRISCO - A couple of weeks ago, in the wake of Alex Smith’s retirement and Colt McCoy’s move to Arizona, we theorized that the herd of potential Dallas Cowboys No. 2 QBs was thinning down to maybe three.

Jeff Driskel. Brett Hundley. And Robert Griffin III.

The herd just got thinner. And RG3 is aware.

On Tuesday, we used Twitter to both report on and poke fun at Dallas’ search. The Cowboys first whispered that Driskel had a “great visit” to The Star and suggested to at least one media outlet that a signing was pretty much forthcoming.

It never happened.

And now that Driskel has signed with the Houston Texans, the same whispered suggestions want Cowboys Nation to know that QB Brett Hundley, who is this week’s special guest here at The Star, actually ranks higher in their eyes than Driskel did.

Who would you like as Dak's backup?

I wouldn't mind RGIII. he has the right skills to hold fort for a few games. he can scramble and make a few plays and he is a veteran. passed his prime if he ever had one, but would be better than the other ones.

So let me make sure I understand you....

You critize dak and say he's only had one good year, his rookie year..

I point out that's incorrect and provide justification as to why your criticism is incorrect and even acknowledge that it’s fair to criticize him for parts of his career so far.

Then you now say you don't want to talk about the past anymore...

A bit hypocritical....you use the past when it fits your narrative but don't want to talk about it when it doesn't.
Guilty as charged . . . you got me . . . I am a Hypocrite . . . I am a Dak Hater . . . and I am still mad about Romo. . . there you go . . . around and around we go . . . Same old tired discussion . . . but we are down to 4 years or less depending on the game play of peg leg

I'd rather roll with GG. I saw what I needed to see when he played against the Steelers. He could do the job comparatively. I'd prefer not to have to deal with the thought but if Dak goes down (for any real time), it doesn't really matter anyways.
But other teams had been seeing Gilbert for 6 years before that. Does one game override those 6 years?

I always hate the argument that if the starting QB goes down the team is doomed anyway. That is not an absolute. The Eagles won the Super Bowl even though Wentz went down after the first 10-11 games. The Cowboys went 13-3 in 2016 after Romo went down. Sure that isn't the norm, but why would you just give up hope of finding a QB that can help the team win if the starter goes down?

I also don't understand being a sports fan and not believing in overcoming obstacles. Overcoming obstacles is the very nature of athletic competition.

I say things that are true. Unlike that crap you tried to get away with.
