Signed by Cowboys Cowboys sign WR Johnnie Dixon

How many freaking WR's do they need.
This is now 14 on the roster. And the top 7 are pretty clear, possibly 8.

Yet they only have 9 LB's if you count Neal. But yet every year they are light at LB heavy on WR.

I like that he is a Buckeye, and remember him some though.

Good for him! Many kids with a dream. One of my best friends was camp fodder for a couple of years. He ended up playing about 8 years in the NFL and was actually named team MVP for the Raiders, as a punter!!!!

He clearly chose to sign with Dallas because of the easy path to playing time.
NFL teams pick players, not the other way around. That said, if he were any good, the Cards wouldn't have released him. Too many past injuries haunting him.

You can have up to five receivers on the field at one time (but usually no more than four). You never have more than three true linebackers on the field at one time. (I say true because if you have four in the 3-4, but we would need to count defensive ends in with the linebackers in that case.)

14 receivers in camp sounds kind of heavy. Makes sense if they plan on giving the veterans plenty of rest and still have enough bodies to run drills; but still...

Cowboys do have a lot of WR coming into camp, I think a big differance maker for some of these younger WR and guys like Dixon is to be able to produce on special teams especially in the return game.

I think the defense needs to line up in punt rush formation on every play with the outside guys tackling the WRs before they've gone 5 yds. The QB Would never have a chance to throw the ball. It works in Madden it should work in real life right?

We've got enough WR's to start an NBA team.

I have no problem with camp bodies and prospects for practice squad; especially during camp time, reserve toll on big names, while evaluating potential talent.
Could be a Miles Austin, Cole Beasley, in the mix.

one to look out at is WR Stephen Giltrey (sp) a free agent speedster who opt out last year.

As if more competition at the WR position is warranted. I wish him the best of luck however, the WR position is stacked and even some very good ones will not make the cut this season.
They are going to make him a safety or CB or maybe it was safety......
