Has the owner/GM changed his thinking?

Jerrys not going anywhere anytime soon, he's got 2 back up livers in a cryogenic freeze and a warehouse full of JW Blue
Yep, narcissistic billionaires like him think they are going to live forever. I see Jethro in this role well into his 80’s if not beyond.

I was not a MN hire fan, but not sure why many give MM a pass on a buddy hire to begin with , then MM had MN install a hybrid D with no OTA's or training camp or preseason, that was stupidity out of the gate. Blame MN all you want, all MN did is what MM told/ordered him to do, but ultimately it ended in MM using MN as a scape goat to cover his sorry fat behind. Only those with homer vision do not see this. Bad HC decision from the start to finish.

Good post.

You'll get no argument from me bro. Rodgers won McCarthy a lot of games. Rodgers continues to win no matter who his coach is.
McCarthy's performance as HC last year(or lack thereof) was definitely a fireable offense.
Was not a fan of the hire from day one.

Whenever I think of a solution for Jethro the scene from The Godfather comes to minds. Ha

What’s laughable is some fans thought the hiring of a HC like McCarthy meant Jethro was delegating more. But he’s just another Puppet.

I wasn't a fan of the hire either, but name one coach who could have been successful with over half the team on IR. I wouldn't have campaigned for Garrett to get fired if he were faced with similar circumstances, and I despised him as a coach. He lost one key player and could manage only one win.

IMO the biggest mistake this offseason. Not acquiring another seasoned veteran like Dalton or drafting someone.

Our season hinges on Dak remaining healthy. And McCarthy survival hinges on it as well.

..CC, with all the talent on this team we should win half our games. Nolan was a fluke mistake. Big M brought him, and he himself was probably surprised he dropped the bomb, the way he did. Dallas mistakes look to have less tail-spins. 2nd chances are becoming a rarity.

>>> Jerry wants to win<<<

You mention players mentality? I also feel they see are seeing accountability taking place. I know Jaylon, Zeke and Vander are feeling the heat.

They all need a big years, to stop the landslide.

The only coach I have any confidence in is Kellen Moore as Offensive Coordinator.
But I would never ever make him a head coach, I do think we have hired some quality coaches so we will see.
Quinn could be like Wade, his calling and ceiling may just be as a Coordinator.

Never ignore the "Peter Principle"

The Peter Principle is an observation that the tendency in most organizational hierarchies, such as that of a corporation, is for every employee to rise in the hierarchy through promotion until they reach a level of respective INCOMPETENCE.

I appreciate your attempt at humor but the truth is rich people his age and younger die every day. This is a real condition Jerry is facing and it has to be influencing his decisions.

Yep, when you lose your starting QB you either need a suitable replacement or an Elite defense. Otherwise your dead in the water.

Yes, but he’s very healthy and active . Barring any terminal disease or accident he’s likely to live into his 90’s.

I disagree, because if Dak gets hurt for more than a few games, the season is over. We saw last year that a seasoned veteran wasn't enough to get this team to the playoffs, let alone be a Super Bowl contender.

He needs to stay healthy for this team to win, period. We're ****ed if he goes down no matter who the backup is. Too many elite QBs in the NFC waiting in the playoffs even if we crawl our way out of the NFC East.

No, but McCarthy's hiring of Nolan and staying with that defense for too long, cost them games imo. As well as the ingame blunders/decisions and starting inferior players over others was the icing on the cake for me. I couldn't just give him a pass for team injuries but that's just my opinion, I expected more regardless.
Oh, but no, Im not a Garrett guy either. I'm the "doesnt like either" type.

But Dalton kept our season alive fighting for the division until the final week. Yes in a horrid division. But in the past when our QB went down the season was over . Not last year. We haven’t had a backup QB win 4 games since probably the 90’s.

Well Mikey made some horrid calls as well. Just awful . Unlike we’d ever seen before.

The bigger question might be is would he have survived going 6-10 with Dak. Remember he was 1-3 with Dak.
