You've missed the boat completely.
The only reason this carried on was because you were offended.
So much so, that you began to change the facts. I never said he'd be
TE1, as you claimed in your itemization post. Which, by the way, clearly
portrays how upsetting this was for you... lol.
Yeah, that's what you keep saying - your apparent default comment when you are upset at a dissenting opinion.

Yet you were the one who repeatedly indicated you were bothered by the fact that I responded to your post. As if that isn't how this website works.

Again, here are the monumentally illogical conclusions, or blatant lies (whichever is in your mind is hard to fathom) you put out to fabricate an argument rather than engage in discussion ...

A. That disagreement equals upset. It doesn't. It simply means I disagree.
B. That I don't think there are other things in the world more important to discuss. Illogical reaction. There are more important things than everything on this site - including your posts.
C. That I respond to every post by every poster. Nonsensical accusation that anyone can check.
D. That I am upset about Tebow getting a shot to play, I specifically said in my 1st response to you that I had no problem with this.
E. That I think Tebow is taking the spot that someone else should get. This is a completely out of the blue comment.

Again, I didn't indicate any of that, and in fact every one of this things is false, yet this is how you respond. It shows you are either unwilling or incapable of engaging in discussion.

Accordingly, get your last petty post in and we can call it good.

Wow! Looks like you worked really hard on all that.
You are clearly suffering from a lack of self awareness.

If you go back to the beginning of this back-and-forth,
maybe you'll realize that you've clearly overreacted to my
comment. You were triggered the moment I said "Lighten up, Francis".
You got a problem with 80s movie culture, pal!?!

Well, it sounds like he looked very good in camp so far.

No drops and 2 TD catches 1st day.

No idea if he makes it, but at least he's not embarrassing himself or those around him.

Dog and pony show to get some divisive mainstream media buzz around a team that nobody outside of FL cares about and to sell some jerseys to his fanatics.

With Urban Meyer and Trevor Lawrence coming to town, they had plenty of buzz already.

It was a serious question. I don't understand how Tebow commands respect. He refused a position change even though it was obvious he was never going to be more than a circus type show at QB. What am I supposed to respect him for? I know you think I'm being sarcastic. I am not. Serious question.

The "like me as a poster" stuff is weird.

He has exactly the same the number of playoff wins as a QB as Dak. Respect that!

Exactly. I'm not sure why people are so bothered by Tebow being signed to compete in training camp anyway.

If he makes the final roster, good for him. It will be a tribute to is perseverance and hard work. If he doesn't, he will just be another training camp roster cut like anyone else that gets cut.

Are you talking about me? All I did was wonder why it bothers some people that Tebow has an opportunity to go to training camp.

Actually I don't think that will be the case at all. Most training camp cuts are either rookies, older players that are cut because they just aren't that good anymore, etc. Not much of a story, because the player isn't much or is no longer "much".

Tebow is a (for good or bad, take your pick) a very polarizing figure, just the fact that he's been out of football for like 8 years makes his case pretty unique. When he's cut, there will be article after article about why he got cut, should he have had the chance, probably interviews with Tebow or Meyer or other players, stories on ESPN, NFL Network and other media.

That is seldom the case with the vast majority of camp cuts...

You are right, but I didn't mean to suggest the media won't be all over it if Tebow gets cut. Or if he doesn't. I merely meant he will have gone through the same training camp process others do, and if he gets cut, it will be part of that same process, just as it is with others that get cut. Media attention doesn't change that.

I think the whole Tebow thing is hilarious. I do find it strange how some get their panties so wadded up if you don't think Tebow will be good. Funny stuff!!!!

Question for me is what would anyone base their opinion on Tebow will be good? Size? He's light for an NFL tight end, geez, Witten was 6-5 and 265, T. Kelce 6-5 and 260, Kittle 6-4 and 250, Gronk 6-6 and 268, Waller 6-6 and 255.

Meanwhile Tebow is 6-3 and 245. Speed? Tebow ran a 4.71 at the combine, seriously doubt he's still even that at age 33.

Other tight ends are either established NFL players or fresh out of years of college play. Tebow hasn't played football at all in 8 years, and that was sparingly then.

Tebow has never played tight end (well maybe a couple of snaps, not significant). Others have years at the position.

I'm not down on Tebow, he's a good guy, but come on, there is nothing that would suggest he can be an effective tight end in the 2021 NFL...

Got it, didn't get that when I read it, my bad...

I agree. People shouldn't be upset with Tebow getting the chance in Jacksonville, nor should they be upset if some feel he won't succeed. But that seems to be life on the internet. People tend to blow things out of proportion.

Me personally, I have no problem whatsoever that Tebow is getting the chance. It's not up to me to decide if he should. If Meyer and Jacksonville feel it's worth doing, that's entirely up to them. But I think he is a long shot. Skipping that many years of playing, and switching positions on top of that, is not an easy thing to do. We don't even know if he could have successfully made the transition back when he was still playing, much less now. I'm not saying it's impossible, and I'll be happy for him if he does succeed, but I wouldn't count on it.

I think the main reason people are upset with Tebow getting the chance is that there's only 90 spots available for competition, having a 33 year old, never-played-tight end and years out of football guy able to compete for a spot means some college tight end who might, just might, have a shot at one of the slots won't now get the chance.

To me, if Tebow is really the good, kind, considerate guy he is alleged to be I wonder how he justifies "kicking out" some young tight end from being able to compete for a spot?

I've seen that argument, but there are 32 NFL teams, and 2,880 training camp spots, so if a player isn't invited to come to the training camp of a single one of those 32 teams, or to fill a single one of those 2,880 spots, how can anyone say Tebow is his only obstacle? Obviously that one guy that may not get a spot is someone not a single team feels is worthwhile anyway.

Besides, training camps always include players the team knows are only camp bodies - guys there only to have enough players to run drills and conduct scrimmages. Perhaps the team and Meyer feel taking a shot on Tebow is better than having one of those camp bodies they are already completely convinced has no shot. Teams sometimes experiment with players for this reason.

As for Tebow being good, kind and considerate, since when did those things require a person to be unemployed or not compete for a job?
