Cant understand this Risen, you had problem with the top pick being a corner , but late late 3rd round pick also an issue . So according to you when should one pick a Corner ?

Are you saying if I believe we shouldn't take a corner high in round 1 that means I should be happy with any corner in the 3rd round?

No.

He has a decades long hatred of corners. Like @Hostile and his despise of kickers.
Ask @MichaelWinicki . He knows better than most on the subject and they rib each other over it.

Nashon Wright was the CB we drafted with the pick the Eagles gave us in trade so they could use our 10th overall pick to draft WR DeVonta Smith. Wouldn't it be ironic if Nashon Wright became known as a DeVonta Smith killer when the Cowboys and Eagles play?

I would lick @Aerolithe_Lion 's tears, like he'd do to us if the situation was reversed.
And we wouldn't blame each other.

I've said the same to include Micha Parsons and the posters here have tried to crucify me for it. I see nothing wrong with this approach but for some odd reason, they insist I embrace our 1st round pick. I won't do it. I'm rooting for all our young acquisitions to do well but like you, I ain't jumping on any bandwagons until the 53-man roster is announced.
That’s fair (waiting to jump on), but didn’t you diss his abilities?

I don’t think it was so much the pick but when he was picked. Most felt he would have been there later. Just like most felt Cox would go earlier
In the end, if they can play it doesn’t matter how you got them

Anyone that says they knew how Wright was when the pick was called is lying. :flagwave:

Most ironic part about Wright is that absolutely NO ONE liked that pick. Even the biggest homers said Wright was the ONE pick they didn't like.
If he turns out to be a player, it’ll just go to show people that do this for a living know a lot damned more than people that post on message boards. Maybe it’ll shut a few up.

He's a Cowboy so I hope for the best.
But at this point, they are just talking him up to justify taking him in the third round.

It was the DT from Iowa that was taken with that Eagles third rounder.

There are some positions where the Cowboys are going to end up cutting real talent. I guess the trick is to recognize this quickly and find a trade partner but it seems as though that is very rare around training camp.

I also suspect there are going to be more surprise cuts than usual. If a rookie can do the same thing as a veteran for far less dollars on the salary cap, then see ya.

Don't think this is true. Some of us don't judge picks at the time that we make them. Just like we don't judge them in minicamps and OTAs.

Golston was the pick acquired in that trade.
