Is Golf The Greatest Sport?

Is Golf the Greatest sport? Hell No.

But it's my second favorite, and currently it's BY FAR the most interesting.

Disagree? Come at me.

I love it snd it’s what I watch most so yes. I love football too

Golf is a game or leisure activity. It’s not a “sport”.
if golf is classed as a sport then so should be poker, billiards, and bowling.
I don’t consider any of them sports or the players “athletes”.
Yes I’ve gotten some people all worked up in a lather when I said that but I still stick by it.

Golf is a game.
After watching the Mexico/US game in the Nations League tournament I have to say those are sports. That is the most drama I have seen in a game in long while. Hollywood could not have scripted it better. Even if you are not a soccer fan it is definitely worth watching.

Tell that to Paige Spiranic. Google her if you aren't in the know.

Go check out the top golfer's wives and girlfriends and tell me it's not a sport. o_O

Paulina Gretzky, Jena Sims lead a long list.
Football is my sport. Nothing better than seeing grown men in tights bending over. BOOM!

Isn't that right GF @Xelda ?!

So then why does football use the term "Game Day" Football is a game as well. Anyone can throw a football, anyone can run with a football. Trained players do it much better and professionals are the best out there. Golf no different, anyone can swing a club and hit a ball but trained golfers do it much better and professional are the best out there. Try hitting a 7 iron 200 yards? to generate clubhead speed and maintain balance and control and do so with accuracy.

There are few things in sport more difficult than hitting a golf ball. The golf swing is absolutely an athletic movement. You just don't play or know much about it.

So is hitting billiard ball but it’s not a sport either…maybe on the ocho

Pool is a skill. Its like skeet shooting. Golf involves a highly developed coordination of every muscle in the body. Tiger Woods isn't an athlete competing in a sport? lol

Soccer, Wrestling, and Sprinting are some of the oldest sports, and best in my opinion.

Football, Golf, and other sports haven’t been around long enough to call them “the best”, imo. But people have been playing games like soccer, wrestling, and seeing who can run the fastest for thousands of years.

woods being an athlete or not isn’t relevant…
I don’t consider it a real sport like I don’t consider frisbee golf or curling a real sport…more of a game with movement

Anything you can drink while doing is not a sport.

Golf and bowling aren't sports.

People drink and try any and all sports. If you don't think people haven't played even pro playoff football, or bball under the influence of a wide variety of substances...you aren't well informed.

U.S. Open Baby!

Starts thursday. Buckle in. Buckle down. You'll need TWO buckets of popcorn ready.
