Definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over and expecting a different results and that’s what Cowboys are doing with Gregory. Ten sacks in four season isn’t nothing to be bragging about even though there is potential there.

The breakout star on the DL is going to be Bradlee Anae with 10 + sacks & 4 forced fumbles minimum this upcoming season with the motor of Lawerence Taylor. He is the protoypical DE for Quinn’s defense that can rush in 4-3 hands down or stand up and play OLB like Von Miller. Unlike Gregory his motor doesn’t stop, he is stouter against the run and brings a whole another level of-nastiness QBs fear.

Bradlee Anae
Height: 6’-3”
Arm length: 32”
Weight: 257 lbs

Lawrence Taylor
Height: 6’-3”
Arm length: 34”
Weight: 240 lbs

Did you just compare Bradley Anae to Lawrence Taylor? Dude. How do you still have an account here?

Talk to me in September!
Hope you like grilled crows.
Oh? You expect after a few games in September I'll agree that Anae is comparable to Lawrence Taylor?

Do you also think by that time Reggie Robinson will show he is comparable to Dieon Sanders, and Tristan Hill will show he is comparable to Reggie White?

Boy, our defense is going to be a lot better than any of us realized!

If Anae has a better season then Gregory then that would make this defense successful. And I would be ok with that.

If Anae can out produce Gregory's 10 plus sacks who wouldnt be cool with that?

Obviously everyone would be cool with that. Nobody is against it, they just don't think the OP is being realistic. He can't even say why he believes it, plus he compared Anae to Lawrence Taylor.

well based on Gregory's downward trajectory from each time he's played in last 4 years... he's going to get 1.5 Sacks.

First, if basing things on trajectory Anae will have 0 sacks again this year.

Second, what your trajectory doesn't factor in is that Gregory wasn't eligible to play the first 6 games last year, so naturally his sack total would be down, plus even when he became eligible to play he had to come in without the benefit of training camp and without having played the year before, so he obviously wasn't ready for the same responsibility as when he last played in 2018. This year, barring injury, he will come in with a full training camp and ready to go from the 1st game.

And I say this as a person who isn't particularly high on Gregory going into this year, but I think we should at least be fair in how we look at things.

Anae already has 1 sack with 1 snap, it’s really opposite of your assessment.

I think they are both scrubs to be honest. Anae doesnt fit a 3-4 DE and is bad against the run. ONLY way he makes the team is as a situational pass rusher. Just dont see it. Maybe they give him one more year. He has pretty much been a ghost since he has been here. Players with talent typically show up and show out.
Maybe he is a scrub but he didn't play last year and the few snaps he got was decent. Only been in the league one year so not sure what he is yet. Plus Dallas isn't running only a 3-4, they will also run 4-3 and mostly likely most of the time. Not all rookies come in and play well especially when their position has starters in place already

Armstrong on the other hand has had multiple years and done nothing.

Dumb thread, you could visually see Gregory's talent, someone doesn't go as late as Anae if that talent was that elite.

This is hilarious. The very video you posted to prove Anae got a sack shows the QB threw the ball and completed the pass for a 17 yd. gain. Anae got pressure, but no sack

Your video doesn't show a sack
The Dallas Cowboys don't credit him with a sack
NFL.com doesn't credit him with a sack
ESPN doesn't credit him with a sack
CBS Sports doesn't credit him with a sack
NBC Sports doesn't credit him with a sack
Fox Sports doesn't credit him with a sack
Yahoo Sports doesn't credit him with a sack
Pro Football reference doesn't credit him with a sack

You are the only one anywhere that indicates he got a sack

Must have been wiped out by a penalty. Pro Football Reference credits a blitz, a pressure, and a QB knockdown (QB went to the ground after the ball was thrown), but no sacks.
Overall he played 6 defense snaps and 120 special team snaps in 7 games.

It wasn't wiped out by a penalty, it never happened. Look at the video. It shows the QB knockdown you found him credited with. The QB threw and completed a pass for a 17 yard gain.

Dak Attack literally tried to prove a sack happened by showing a video in which a sack did not happen.
