Well, I never argued with anyone where he would end up total yards-wise....except it would be a huge reach to assume he continued that same pace.lol come on man...
This is the type of thing that drives me crazy.
Dak was ranked 1st STILL entering week 6.
And Dallas played the BEST pass defense in football week 1. The Rams
Yes, they ALSO played some bum pass defenses but neglecting to mention those two facts is just intellectually dishonest.
None of us know if Dak would have remained 1st but it's certainly fair to think he might have faded to 2nd or 3rd by regular season's end.
But arguing that with some shady context that precludes massive facts is just not it.
However, he also missed a lot of games very very bad football teams where he might have easily shined.
As it was the games Dallas lost to CLE/SEA/LAR were all versus teams that won 10 or more games last year.
I'll just leave you with this
Dallas had 11 games remaining and only 1 game was vs a team with a bottom 10 pass defense. .
On the other hand, several of those games would be vs the top pass defenses.
#2 Washington--twice
#3 Pittsburgh
#6 Baltimore
The worst pass D remaining--and the only in bottom 10--was 25th ranked Minnesota.
Like I said, they feasted on 3 of the worst pass D's in their first 5 games....including #32 and #31. Yes, the #1 Rams are offset by the #32 Falcons. But #31 Seattle and Cleveland pass D's were bad too. Giants were medium.
Not sure why my logic would "drive you crazy"
but it's sure not worth arguing if you don't agree.
From our long experience in posting, you are not someone who ever changes his mind, regardless of what is presented..
I think we both anticipate a big year for Dak, so at least we agree on that.
