Coffee at Texas Grounds, beef fajitas and margaritas at El Chaparral for lunch. Meeting a friend for drinks in a bit and then t-bones on the grill later tonight.

I wasn't going to post because I knew I would feel guilty, but since we have your blessing here goes.

Brined a 16oz magret duck breast last night. Early morn I put it in the Sous Vide for 5 hours. It's been on the smoker for about 30 minutes. Cut up the potatoes for some scalloped potatoes but I need some ideas for another side? My vegetable garden stalled a couple of weeks ago when the temps hit 99.

All have right now for a 3rd side is Modella Especial. My liquor cabinet is on the top shelf of my pantry, I keep looking in there for something to add but it is so confusing..

Brisket prices are crazy, I remember as a kid my grandfather buying up 5 or 6 whole briskets when they were on sale for 99 cents a pound. lol

I did a brisket for Father’s Day. $101 for 17lbs.

Just got back from a German restaurant where I had the bratwurst combo plate with German potato salad and sauerkraut. Am expecting continuous loud explosions tonight.

Wife and I are away. Going out to dinner. We already know what we are going to order. Chopped salads to start. She likes the stuffed rigatoni. I am going with whatever the fish special is. Wash it down with steamed parsnip cake. Peekamoose in Catskills. Great place.

I had some brisket last night in Windham NY. I am always leery of ordering brisket because my standards are high. It was awesome. Corn bread, slaw and potatoe salad to wash it down. Great BBQ.
