Hard Knocks is showing what is important to the franchise

Now add in the number of times the Cowboys have been in the Hall of Fame game and your theory is confirmed. No way these events were not lobbied for by Jerry.

Distraction, additional risks of injury, extra travel, these are not the goals of any preseason.

The limelight is nothing new to our Cowboys. They are used to it. Actually, since it's been over 10 years since the last time they starred on Hard Knocks, this should drive them to be better. It helps the players make a name (or bigger) for themselves while showcasing America's Team to the world!

Its new to the rooks coming in, and its a distraction.
Was liking the early week of OTAs and extra HOF game, so Hard Knocks is part of the deal and probably why the Cowboys were targeted. That extra week means a lot for production.

It doesn’t appear the Cowboys had a choice. And we obviously don’t qualify every year.

And remember what the subject matter and title is “ Hard Knocks”. It’s why they don’t have teams that have recently been in the playoffs. It’s not Good or Successful Knocks.
 
I'm going to regret when the social justice elephant enters the room. It will turn out bad for this team..
 
If I am Booger...and when he's gone, Chuckles....I never volunteer to do ONE thing that the NFL asks me to do until the Goon and his NY henchman are gone....I give em the "Robby Benson" response.

Profit is the #1 priority for every owner in the league, they just don't have the brand that Jerry does.

Hard Knocks is more about the profitability for HBO and the league . Most teams don’t want it. Mara and the Giants have publicly said they’d refuse it.

While I’d agree no one has the brand Jethro does not many exploit it as he does either. He never saw a camera he didn’t like.

Mara and the Giants would do it if it was profitable for them. Doesn't matter what they say. It's easy to refuse it when they haven't been an interesting team since they 80s. They're a boring brand that nobody would want to watch.

Every owner loves every camera, insofar as it is profitable for them.

I’m not sure where you’re gathering your info but NY is still in the largest TV market and they definitely would have a large viewership despite however interesting their team is.

You appear to have forgotten they’ve won a couple championships this era. But I’m not really interested in your opinion on the subject , only factual data.
 
Basically hard Knocks is reserved for the biggest losers in the NFL and we have done it more times than anyone. Lets all celebrate.

Which is probably why it isn't profitable for them to be on Hard Knocks.

You appear to have forgotten that Jerry won a couple of Super Bowls too, and that's why the brand is so big.

Sports franchise owners are myopic. They invest in the teams to make money. That's it. Winning is secondary because it is just a tool to increase profitability. If HK makes them money, the answer is yes, if it doesn't, the answer is no.

Marketing is very important to any nfl franchise
I’m not a fan of the distraction of hard knocks but I certainly understand why any franchise would do it

Biggest Losers is a title well earned, I'm going to enjoy watching the Cowboys training camp on Hard Knocks and hope for a great season
