It will be a big regular season win. Other than that, it will not necessarily indicate this team’s season trajectory. It’s one game. Fans love to overreact to the season opener either way. This will be a 17 game war complete with highs and lows, difficulties and accomplishments. One game will not define the rest of the season. Win or lose opening night.

We will be 1-0 and the Cowboyszone will be going crazy! There will be a few negative nancies......but it would be a great week.
Spoken like a coach.

That's it. It would be a great week.
Maybe a kick start to the season to some degree.
But 16 games left.

In 2012, Dallas won its opening game at the defending Super Bowl Champ Giants.
It was a great week.
Enjoy the win...but stay focused on the bigger picture.

spoken well. Because that team has notable talent it will however at least mark this team has made a big jump in the right direction and has the possibility of a p[positive outcome during that war.;)

I always told my players, I don't want to win every game, I just want to win the next one.

What do you think that would do for the 2021 season? Right now the latest line i've seen was Tampa -6.5

:)
It will make us 1-0

Our offense may do well. But defense will get shredded by Tampa once they figure out the weak point and create havoc and confuse the defense.

We may score 27-30 but probably give up 35 or more. Their offense is good

It is as good as Brady holds up. Another year, and getting slower. We have a younger fast defense that can get to him. Wait, oh, well, need to see that one first.

I think Randy Gregory actually gets to Brady several times and rattles him the entire game throwing multiple picks. You heard it here first. :D

Always told mine 3 things.

1. Don't never walk on our field.

2. If you leave anything out there you need to run a lap before we start the next practice.

3. your O-linemen and D-linemen are the heartbeat of this team.

I have raked many of them over the coals over the years but, i always left them with something positive to take away.

For a team with so many questions about so many things, a win against a team who brought back all 22 starters that won a super bowl would simply just be HUGE!

Beating the champs is a statement no matter what week of the regular season it occurs in. A W would be a HUGE boost to team confidence and a shot of early season momentum.

A W does not mean a ton in terms of predictability on the trajectory of our season— but it would be the best possible outcome for week 1 for Dallas for sure.

Also— on a personal note— I would love to see us finally beat Tom Brady and wipe that smug, smirk off his face. He is the GOAT— and I respect him— but I would absolutely love to see him driven mercilessly into the turf over and over again in week one

A win would be great, obviously.

No matter what happens though, you don't really know what you have until somewhere around Thanksgiving.
