Season is almost here!

I love football and the Cowboys, I get out of line sometimes and I apologize for that.....I coached for a living and worked 90 hours a week during the season because it paid my bills. The Cowboys are a way to chill and relax. I appreciate the banter, the Mods and this Forum. Gregory, Jaylon, Dak,Zeke and Lamb are gonna kill it this year. I believe in MM and Quinn.....Salud!

I respected the football coaches I had in junior high and high school --was cognizant that they sacrificed time away from their families to work hard to succeed at a demanding position.

It is a passion...my parents never saw me play in my 7 years and they didn't see me coach til my 16th year....crazy...

My only coaching experience was with a coed intramural flag football team in college.
It was a memorable experience. There were a few who were athletes and had organized sports experience in high school...but most of the team were spectators while growing up. They took instruction well and bonded together to be very competitive.

No that would be an idiot. A fan is one that runs around calling posters like you who are always hating, every day, every thread, every post a hater.

It's a great experience....I started as a volunteer 5th grade girls basketball team when I was in college. We went undefeated and I actually hired 2 of them later in life. I keep up with most of them and the ones I do are very successful.......coaching is a great thing, if you do it for the right reasons

Before I signed up last year I had been an everyday lurker here since the DC message board went under and I've never seen you get out of hand. I prefer your style over the haters. I mean "realists." If I was a mod I would get rid of all the trolls who pose as Cowboy fans. It gets old. If they are allowed to troll then we should be allowed to ride their a**es when they do.

My Dad was career military - U.S. Army. Served overseas in wartime. Stateside --had side jobs to bring in supplemental income. He and my Mom only attended one game \ athletic event (I ran track also) in 7 years of competition (Senior season football game against arch rival).

Just today I had a coworker asked me did I plan to attend a Cowboys game.
I replied going to the away games in Minnesota and DC look to be the most accessible for me (I live in metro Atlanta).

In my twenties an thirties, I was that loud, borderline obnoxious Cowboys fan in the sports bars \ at game get-togethers. Totally 180° now. Wear the team paraphernia, endure the ribbing from other teams' fans, and converse with other Dallas supporters.
