I don't know who you are but you are becoming one of my favorite posters. I love the way you are exposing the blame-it-all-on-the-GM clowns. They cherry pick the latest SB winning GM and just want some scapegoat for the team not winning a SB.

Your post sure kicked their rear ends.
I try, what can I say. The difference between winning and losing in the NFL is razor thin. Everyone wants to blame the coach, the play call, the GM, the fans... the blah blah blah... bottom line is sometimes teams are equal, and one wins and one loses. Just the nature of the game. Jerry has had us in contention to win a SB 3 times in the past decade or so... it just didnt work out. The GM of the Giants was amazing though and they won 2 SB titles with eli.....lol, PULEASE....

So he went to the team with the better supporting cast as designed by the GM?
The better supporting cast than the 4 garbage teams that wanted him to play for them.... Hows the GM doing lately??? Not so god.

you ever take statistics? Bell shaped curve... it applies pretty well for NFL rosters.
Actually i did, pretty advanced degree, and there is a skew factor versus a some simplictic gaussian distribution.

You can typically view the multivariate factors by the priority order players are acquired after the franchise QB

You clearly don't understand the core Draft concept called positional value.

Now, if Micah can do a lot lined up as edge rusher...then his positional value goes way up.

You clearly don't have the slightest clue how a team stacks their board.

Or stacks their board even.

Well, share your wonderful stats with us. Would love to see them. The electrical engineer in me doesn't need any gaussian distributions or multivariate factors. This is football. Just give us your data and your correlations and causations.

you have no clue about positional value. It’s so important the cowboys weren’t going to take him

Then why would they be making this concession now?

Perhaps you need a reminder. It’s easy to google . Here’s one quote:

“The Cowboys specifically pledged to us - with team owner Jerry Jones' $1,000 bet with yours truly (Mike Fisher) that Penn State linebacker Micah Parsons was the top target all along. COO Stephen Jones reiterated that late Thursday after Round 1 ... and then came a text from a team official to CowboysSI.com confirming it one more time.”

never saw that one. Your reading too much into it.

Not surprising at all. This defense has almost no chance to be good this year with the current secondary. Jerry getting another year closer to meeting his maker.

Five better GMs…there’s actually way more than 5. Reid I’ve shown you this before. You just refuse to believe it. Which is fine. It’s subjective.
Here are 5 great GMs
  • Kevin Colbert- Steelers GM- has been either GM or Director FB operations since 2000. Has won 2 SBs, 3 AFC championships and worked with both Bill Cowher and Mike Tomlin.
  • Jason Licht- GM of Buccaneers- won SB last year but also has 2 SB rings with the pats as an Asst director of player personnel. Was the architect of getting most of the great Buc D last yr, without which even with Brady they don’t win the SB.
  • Brett Veach- GM of Chiefs. Two AFC championships and SB ring. Drafted Mahomes, but has also been great at getting FA role players that have greatly contributed like former Cowboy Anthony Hitchens and late round draft picks like Rashad Fenton.
  • Chris Ballard -Colts GM- considered one of the best draft guys in NFL. Colts have built a really good team in short amount of time. Was with the chiefs when they drafted Travis Kelce, Tyreek Hill. Was with bears when they won NFC in 2006.
  • Bill Belechick- pats. Don’t even have to say anything else.
Before saying “yeah but Jerry has 3 rings”…yes, but has won 4 playoff games total since 96. Each of the above have won more playoff games in 2 years than Jerry has in 25.

gospel truth

Give me your gaussian distribition, pvalue tstat and sample size, std dev, r-square, it was your hypothesis which assumes you have all the data for corollary that it "is just football"

Unless you just throw out some stat lingo as an argumentum ab auctoritate with only guesstimates to back it up.

Its onlyAC or DC, 2, 3 or 4 phase electrical circuits by the way...no need for stats...right?
