The tweet says they had Parsons rated the best defensive player in the draft but they would have taken one of the corners instead.

It is very strange that he is admitting they were ready to bypass the best defensive player in the draft (Parsons) for a cornerback.

They wouldn't do it at any other position and they did force the Joseph pick in the 2nd round. They were taking a cornerback there come hell or high water.

Similar to how they were taking Trysten Hill in the second, no matter who else was on the board. Including better defensive players.
