Coaches shouldn't give any answers to any questions. Press Conferences should be banned, they are useless and a waste of time. If a coach actually answered a question, I would fire him on the spot. The responses should all be non answers and talk arounds.. should never give anything to anyone. How is such and such player, answer : he's alive.. we hope to get him back... next question.

Give him credit for that? The guys the head coach of the Cowboys getting paid a ton to win games and should do so wether it’s with a 40 million dollar average qb or not. If this team doesn’t get 10 wins this season he should be let go immediately.

I read your post last night and wanted to respond but I was too tired..

I really think you're missing the point of the thread man... I don't think anyone is saying that Big Mike is a better coach because he is direct and answers questions intelligently in press conferences! I think people are actually listening to these press conferences and coming away with new knowledge that wasn't given out in the past. When listening to Big Mike speak, he gives clear and concise information on the program he is putting in place and in return this gives some of us fans confidence in not only his talking points but knowing this plan is being put into action. We actually now have a coach who really understands the game of football and is actually trying to innovate.

With the freckled puppet, we had a guy who 90% of the time was focused on selling himself as the smartest guy in the room as opposed to actually growing in his job. Again, another Jerry blunder, he probably saw a bit of himself in Jason G.

What do you mean no coach did any better? Giants and Commanders did a far better coaching job than McCarthy did. I don't even care what the Cowboys record was.....that was some of the worst coaching you will ever see in this league. Worse than Dave Campo and Jason Garrett. I've never seen coaching that bad between Mike Nolan and McCarthy. Embarassingly bad. No one is saying he should've won 13 games but it was piss poor effort week in and out and they looked unprepared even when the team was relatively healthy.

I think we need to give McCarthy a pass on last season.
No camp , no fans , players missing etc.
He never looked comfortable on that sideline.

We’ve brought in a helluva football man in Dan Quinn and I loved our draft and FA haul.

McCarthy has a Ring - I don’t care who the QB was under him - a Ring takes everyone on board.

Give this guy 16 games and then let’s revisit.

Not with the schemes and personnel Nolan was puking onto the field. Our D got better IMMEDIATELY when JJ forced them to put Gregory out there more as well as Wilson. He made HORRIBLE personnel decisions and that cost us a shot at winning the division.

It does seem that black and white I do agree however this is how the sports world works. Everybody brings in their guys.
McCarthy saw an opportunity to sell the idea that he had a full coaching staff put together and you would hire him as well as his staff and it worked they all got paid bigtime cash.


However I do believe the higher of Nolan has sat wrong with Jerry Jones and McCarthy is on the thinnest of ice.

i’ve also heard that the Cowboys defense of players were not graded last year daily or game by game which is a cardinal sin and unheard of in the NFL.

I heard JJ was not happy about that either.

So you may very well get your wish that McCarthy will pay for hiring his pal .

That said let’s give the man A full non-Covid craziness year and support him.

I for one do not plan to watch 16 games hating my head coach I did that for a decade.

As I said above I love my staff this year and I love our draft an our free agency haul.

I also think I’m number one pick has all pro talent - yes I think he’s that good.

I stopped watching the Clown's press conferences after hundreds of statements of "It's a process" crap. Just could not handle the BS any long from that loser.
