You are shocked that on a Cowboys message forum that people have emotional investment in a Cowboys player? And you don’t? You aren’t emotionally invested in anyone on this team?

Why would I, as a private citizen with no financial investment in the team, attribute my emotions into the team or players? I do not allow a team or a player dictate my emotions or my life because at the end of the day the team or players are about as impactful as changing the toilet paper roll. Besides, my personal identity isn't based on a football team or player.

So you don’t watch the games either?

Sorry but like underwear, I have my own opinion and never share them with another simply to conform. I guess I'm a free baller that way.

I know you and some of your friends always look at stats in a vaccum, because it suits the agenda, but here is reality of win/loss against teams with a winning record for some QBs of note (assuming you meant that's a good team).

Rodgers 36-43
Cousins 7- 35 (he is one of your favorites and top 10 ranked in your opinion)
Mahomes - 10-6
Jackson 10-6
Murray 3-11
Watson 7-19 (isn't he another one of your favorites)
Brady 74-47 nothing to say but WOW
Wilson 32-27
Ryan 31-55
Prescott 13-20
Stafford 8-67
wentz 10-21

so seems like there is 4 active QBs that have a winning record, the rest all have losing records.....

but I am sure if we exclude 2016, games played west of rockies, at 4:00 PM on grass, games on NBC and a few other qualifiers then yes, you are right he has a dismal record...

I can't speak for everyone but for me, it's not the record that worries me, it's the trend. The trend has been going down, down down, to the point that he hasn't won a game against a good team since 2018. That' is 0 wins in 2019 and of course, last year before his injury. I guess if you want to count the 9-7 Rams in 19 as a "good" team go ahead, and give him in 2019, but even if you do that,, it's a pretty bad record trend. I haven't done the research but my guess is that most QB have pretty even numbers, maybe a win more or a loss less every year vs good teams (2-3 and 3-2 for example). Not 8-2 for 2 years and 0-10 for the next 2 years , which would be 8-12 overall record but very concerning at the same time.

I'm emotionally invested in the Dallas Cowboys as a team.

I don't get emotionally invested in players, because I don't care who the players are as long as the team is successful, and players come and go all the time.

I have my favorites, but I don't get emotionally invested in them because they might not even be part of the team after this year.

I'm a Cowboys fan, Rockport. Why would that stat rile me up?

The only thing I find troublesome about that particular stat is
that when you look at it with context you can see how the longer Dak is playing the closer that record is getting to .500.

I would prefer the opposite effect, but that's just my opinion.

Lots of haters here for sure. Just look at how many likes Papsmear has.
You literally said this a few pages back.... This is your direct quote word for word, copy and pasted: "It’s all he’s got after you embarrass him with the truth. He can’t argue so he brings up silly things like Likes. Which is him just embarrassing himself yet again."

Here you are, bringing up a silly thing like likes. You're always stepping in it, Rocky. You make it way too easy.

So you are celebrating a QB's injury? That takes an extra special person to do that.

You can twist it however you want snow flake. Let's keep a small amount of context though. I didn't wish it on him, but it happen. The positive in that is that his slobberors are once again silenced, and it potentially hurts the Eagles draft.

This is a multi million dollar athlete with a FOOT injury, that will sideline him a few weeks. He will be absolutely fine. Try not to pretend I'm cheering on a disabled kid being hit by a bus.

For future reference I don't care about your sensitive, pc world. So you may as well block me before you're triggerd again.

I don't know how anyone can dislike Dak. Sure. He has a few warts on the field but his work ethic and character are above and beyond.

I agree with most of what you are saying. But his contract situation sort of takes him outside the “knight in shining armor status” that some posters want to bestow on him. I like Dak, and I’m glad he is our QB, but let’s not get too carried away. (Not necessarily directed at you).

This is how I am. I have players I like and players I don't like of course but my heart is always with the Cowboys, if a player leaves, see ya. I loved Herschel Walker but never watched a game of his after he left the Cowboys, same with Tony D and more recently Dez. I blame fantasy football for creating player fans over team fans.

You're right. To me, "fans" that put any player over or equal to the team as a whole are "fans" I could do without.

I'd love to see Dak win an MVP and break all the records, but I'd love to see Dak play at just an okay level of QB and the Cowboys win a Super Bowl much more.

I see, so based on your intellectual logic Dak too is multi-million dollar athlete with a foot injury and should be seen as a disabled kid being hit by a bus? Interesting.

As for triggered, you told another member to "suck it" while pointing out a player's injury......and yet I am triggered? Okay creampuff.

Ain't that something? These guys don't even watch the games but want to tell someone who is bad or good lol.
It all makes sense now. No wonder they don't know what they hell they're talking about. I thought I'd seen it all.
