Wow...the special teams really suck. They haven't looked good at any point this game. The offense and defense looked decent in the first quarter and a half.

This is true. Hopefully, it's because a lot of the regulars aren't playing.

I mean people can post highlight reels of Quincy Carter looking good. I know Stafford can throw. But he's had some poor passes in his career and he's been inconsistent. I don't solely blame him for the Lions shortcomings but if they had Aaron Rodgers would they be a worse team? Or the same team? Or better?

I'll happily eat crow if he goes on to have a hall of fame career but I think Stafford is what he is. I feel like Tom Brady is Tom Brady regardless of who he plays for. I feel like Fitzpatrick is who he is regardless of he plays for.
That’s where I disagree. Guys don’t become who they are unless they are given an environment that makes them into that. Tom Brady 1000% isn’t the Goat if he starts his career in Detroit rather than Bill and the Pats.

Rodgers won 1 SB with a historically great franchise who drafted and coached well. Only 1 and he’s arguably the most talented QB of all time. I am willing to bet everything I own that Rodgers wouldn’t have won squat in Detroit. They’ve had maybe 2 years in the past 10 with good rosters, not great but good.

Sorry Rocy I don’t see how you can disagree that the infrastructure around a QB directly plays into who he becomes. You think Dak is the same guy if he starts in 2017 with that roster vs 2016? Look at Tannehill in Miami vs Tannehill in Nashville.

Mahomes was below .500 in college, you think if he was drafted to Jacksonville they would be anywhere close to KC? Without Reid, grooming behind Alex Smith, and having Hill/Kelce plus, even Mahomes isn’t the same.

The easy way to tell is by watching the Rams this year. Should be interesting.

QB’s do not win on their own, no one does in football. It takes 22 guys plus and a front office. Stafford has way too many gaudy stats to be average, he’s obviously good. The question is if he’s a winner, but when it comes to stats with Calvin Johnson it’s all right there.

The coaching staff, seems to have the same lethargic approach to the game. Yes, I know it's preseason.

How many DCs now have we had that cannot figure out how to blitz and do that same stupid blitz where they all bunch up in the middle? It's absurd.

So if they are going to let the camera operators have input in real time when it comes to making a referee call, then why have referee teams on the field at all.

Make the decision in the booth and keep just one referee on the field to move the ball and communicate with the stadium.

Also, it seems like the more they change the rules the more injuries that occur. My theory is that the more players become conscientious of possible injuries the more they become guarded and adopt postures or movements that lead to injury. I think that uncertainty and tentative decision making is one of the leading causes of injury.

Although I think DiNucci needs time to develop and fans are being a little harsh on him because of his one start last year, his performance in this game doesn't give Dallas any reason to keep him. Hopefully, he'll show better as the preseason progresses.

I think he's only a practice squad player at best at the moment, and that's only if the Cowboys are seeing enough glimpses in camp to try to develop him.

Fans have a tendency to overreact, but he just hasn't had any moment where you go, "See? That's what he's capable of."

He's a dime a dozen late round/undrafted QB who cant cut it. Cowboys fans holding on to this Romo dream have a better shot hitting the Powerball.
