I admittedly didn't read all 8 pages, but did anyone call @Rockport a "hater" for daring to criticize Cowboys' management? :muttley:

You can easily go back and see for yourself what I said.

Mods, I believe this fellow or madam should be banned unless they provide a formal written apology for slandering me.

Carson Wentz had 19 Turnovers in 12 games.......
Drew Lock had 18 Turnovers in 13 games.......
Nick Mullens had 16 turnovers in 10 games.....
Dwayne Haskins had 10 turnovers in 7 games......

All on pace for more turnovers than Dak.

The QB play last night was nothing less than atrocious. How the team could be this far in to training camp with these backup QB’s and think that they could play is mind boggling. They’ve seen them every OTA, mini-camp and every day in training camp. Really disappointed they haven’t gotten a decent backup from day one so that he could get acclimated with the offense. They better get off their rear ends fast and bring someone in because if Dak goes down for a few games, we ain’t winning squat.
Personally, I find it hard to judge the backup QBs when the OL was missing the top 2 guys, and Collins only played the first series or 2. There was very little running game without Zeke, Pollard, and the OL…..very little pass protection after the first two series, and our top 3 wideouts didn’t play. Even a coach couldn’t judge a qb last night beyond how fast he read the defense and got the ball out.

Jerry balked on paying dak that massive deal , but the political correctness mob went on the offensive ... ""you need to sign dak to 40-44 mil a year jerry . he is worth it jerry blah blah"" all the talking heads and supposed experts kept saying he is being cheap and that Stephen is a bean counter , jerry goes on and signs him, virtually crippling the team , and now he and stephen are the villains. The dak deal means the most expensive franchise on earth is at the whim of Dak and his health or lack of . Not much money left to get any QB of value, Many on this board were for the Dak signing at any cost.
Team isn’t crippled. Dak’s hit this year is only 21 million. Over 10 million less than last year. Chill.

Nice thought. But when the best you can do is Blake Bortles, does it really matter at this point?

Exactly..

Someone may get let go.. If not then oh well.

If Dak is out for a long period of time then I’d rather just take Ls anyways.

I think Gilbert will be fine if he has to play. They’ll gameplan all week and have red zone packages that he knows inside and out. Also he’ll have the starting Oline, zeke, and our receivers.

Gilbert was alright till the redzone, then he just held the ball for too long. He's definitely upgradeable but our first drive Ty over committed to the outside rush and got exposed when the RDE went inside.

Rush and DiNucci aren't NFL QBs.
Definitely need another QB if Dak's health is going to be a questionmark and the FO wants to win games
Totally

I’m just not sure it matters to be honest. Gilbert can probably fill in a week or two depending on the opponents, however reality on the nfl is if you lose your starting qb for an extended period you are done for. Just look at last season, our backup qb is now a starter for another team and we still couldn’t win.
True but our defense was atrocious
Don't think we would have won much with dak the whole season either

No, but 2 bad sacks and a fumble in the red zone cost Dallas at least 3 and possibly 11 points....that is the bad part.
Yeah I mean he’s not going to perfect he’s a backup QB. Can he move the offense is the main question, because if he plays in the regular season I’m sure he won’t have to deal with backup lineman and RB’s/WR’s.

It’s not like the 1st string offense was a redzone juggernaut either.

I thought the oline looked pretty good. He should have spun out of the pocket but he can’t. That’s one of his limitations.

Well maybe they can pull a trade for a decent backup. We’ve got great depth at the WR position.

It's just the sad case of the NFL right now. You lose your starter, you're done. It's hard to find a Nick Foles. Or a Plunket!!!! But Dak is very durable for the most part.

It won't surprise me if Nick Foles isn't a Cowboys in a few weeks.

Just need someone to step in for a couple games. Anymore than that and you’re right.
