The 80s Cowboys weren't great and even they won 5 playoff games. The 70s won 14 and the 90s won 12.

Three in two decades is the worst stretch in franchise history.

There are those that want to frame it that Romo won in spite of the team and lost because of the team. And there are just as many of the opposite position. But both are simply conjectures. The facts are that he was a part of every win and a part of every loss. That’s indisputable. As Parcells so aptly said, you are what your record says you are.

Yep. We went over a decade without even one playoff win. We just spin our wheels. Each time we won a wild card game and flopped the next round (or flopped in the divisional round off a bye), that was just a building block and the next year is when we will see progress. Nope. Never that. The last time we even made the playoffs back to back years was 2006-07. Each with zero wins.

This franchise this millennium is the epitome of one step forward, two steps back.
