What are the salary cap implications if Jaylon retires. I'm not saying he's going to.. But how does it effect the Cap..

The Dak stuff is a confidence booster due to Rap being a good unbiased source, the Jaylon stuff is extremely interesting as well. Only the first 3ish minutes about the Cowboys so don’t feel burdened by the rest of it. It’s on Rich Eisen’s podcast by the way not NFL Total Access.

wasnt josh gordon and Abrown on the exempt list ..Gordon's never been on it for any more then a DUI has he..i think the exempt list is for anyone given Goodell history..

so tired of the inconsistent nature on goodells suspensions or no suspensions and now the exempt list..

Jaylon smith will not be cut , if someone's wants to trade sure but just letting him go is not an option..i agree no way you force his playing time and make him starter but Quionn can get more out of him using him less and in situation to fit his skillset better PLUS injuries' happen..Neal, LVE, others have injurys history..JS will be needed for depth in 17 game season so fans and media please st flip up because he will be here one more season..

I disagree. I don’t think they can find any takers. Under any scenario.

Agree but then maybe they won't look for "any" takers. Just posted in another thread a reminder of how Jerry can get attach to some players. I can them checking the pulse of a couple of teams they think he'd like to play for, otherwise, release him and let him find his own team.

Why would a team trade for him when they can negotiate their own deal with him after we release him next year
Jaylon is not as bad as some think but he’s well paid and we have better options so he’s gone after this season when it’s affordable to move on
If you can’t beat out Neal then no team is giving anything for you lol

I somewhat agree but I don’t think they will release him now
I think after the season

Nobody's trading for a linebacker with a skittish accent
We blew it with a premature extension:(

No surprise he's saying Dak will be fine week 1.........media/fans overreacting a bit but the FO not helping with some confusing info.

If he is cut, he still counts the same as if he was on the roster, $9.8m. Just for the sake of injuries it is worth keeping him this year. A trade would save $7.2m, but who is going to trade for him and pay that kind of money? Maybe if Dallas took a very low pick in return and agree to pay some of the salary.

good enough to get a Pro Bowl and lead the team in tackles the last 2 seasons.

Other than that...not good enough.
Where were those tackles? 10 yards past the line of scrimmage not behind that’s for sure.

why you mean LB that was high up the list on tackles last year, played 98% of the snaps which is insane, had no DL protection and no other LBs playing consistently around him..the defenseive scheme was trash , he had trash around him and was way over sued and physically held up..

not makig excuses these are facts..hes not great last year like most of our players looked bad..but another coach maybe watches film and doesnt see him the same way Fans do..

We can't get that lucky...:)
you say that and ironically if Neal and LVE injury history pops back up and we are left with two rookies and nobodies to fill in for him..17 games lots can happen this guy played 78% of the snaps and was top 5 in tackles last year while not great look at the defense and players in front and around him..

no one looked great on defense last year team as who was trash, not saying he was great or should start but its not bad as it was portrayed last year..

You have no idea how much of my info and ideas posted here gets plagiarized by the talking heads.
One of these days Romo or Aikman is going to give 'ninja' a shout-out during the game.

Lol ... surely we can find one time they said Ninja during a broadcast and you will get the credit as far as I am concerned.

The second MRI is to see if there's been improvement since the first MRI. Not sure why people freaked out about it.

It’s hard to not see that hes not even top 3 even possibly top 4 linebacker on the staff. Releasing him is showing how they messed up and admitting fault. I still do think they keep him. Just for jerry ego
