Rosen reminds me of Ryan Leaf. So no.thanks.

Apparently, that's the same impression that I've seen from several of our members. Rosen has been with four teams in a three year span. He's been extremely vulnerable to sacks, with an average of three per game during his NFL time. That's a red flag, if there ever was one. The fact that he's also earned a reputation of causing dissention doesn't help, either. Players who've known him with previous teams didn't like him. Buyer beware.

i wouldn't care if he took a dump on the star before every game as long as he won. it wouldn't bother me if he came in and took a whiz on the chessboard either. Go Rosen, Rosen up your bow.

I think your admiration would dwindle in a heartbeat if he maintained his average of three interceptions per game. That's a bummer in anyone's misplaced esteem. Three picks per game will lose an awful lot of games for a team that's willing to accommodate him and his BS. He hasn't earned the respect of any of the teams he's been with. It's why he seen four teams in the his previous three years. He's been a troublesome loser with every team he's with.

Not really. Like I've said, he's been with four teams in his last three years in the NFL. There's valid reasons for that. He's big trouble.

Might as well go with Gilbert. He's been here working with this team for a while.

And, apparently, his teammate's at UCLA hated him. He may have talent, but his intangibles are terrible. I'd stand well clear of him if I were Jerry.

Josh Rosen another Ryan Leaf!?!?! The rap this kid has taken about his “off field” issues is ridiculous. If you read it enough on the internet it must be true.

The Josh Rosen that I saw at UCLA was a solid teammate and well liked. That aside he does has some legitimate concerns with his play on the field. He’s been plagued with horrible line play back to his days at UCLA. His decision making was once a positive skill set. I think he still has skills and something to prove. He just needs to be able to have trust in an organization and coaches to bring that back out of him.

The comparison to Ryan Leaf is definitely one of the most ridiculous Rosen comments I have seen…

I guy can make a very very good living in the NFL being a back-up QB. If this guy can't get his act together and accept the fact that he's a backup caliber QB or if he's a locker room cancer, he's just not very bright.
Or both of his parents are extremely wealthy.
I fully understand its not always a case of entitlement, many have made great accomplishments in life on their own, making their own mark in life knowing that even if they did nothing, they would be financially set their entire lives because of what their parents accomplished.
Hope that is not the case with Rosen but the indicators are popping like red flags.

The swell of the tide grows......

We are only being a little snarky when we point out that the Dallas Cowboys coaching staff leads the NFL in "quarterback coaches.'' Counting all the guys who help out in the summer, and all the way up to the boss, head coach Mike McCarthy, Dallas literally employs at least six guys with expertise in that area.

One of those guys ought to be put in charge of a project named "Josh Rosen.''

The argument in favor of former top-10 draft pick Josh Rosen in a Cowboys uniform - or maybe, at this point, in any uniform - is a challenging one.

Doesn't seem like a sound decision, once (if) you can rebuild him, you're not going to play him, so who's going to know you've done a great job, and what can you do with him?
Nah, sounds like too much work for some personal satisfaction, IMO.

Maybe we get first in line when cuts come down, but thats a gamble.
IF Daks injury was actually serious, than a trade for Trubisky, or one of the Jags QBs would have assured being first in line.
Thats placing the baseline on a competent FO, so that has to give everyone some serious pause when trying to predict what is actually taking place.
Hard to predict where to stand when standing on a fault line.

he won't cost much

bring him in, let him learn 30-45 plays, let him play for 20 snaps in the last preseason game
and see what happens.

current ranking 30. Cooper Rush (Cowboys)

# 1 QB coming off injury and has another health issue keeping him off the field
it's worth a shot

Yes it's a brainless lazy comparison

Based off his NFL history he may not even be able to make the Cowboys roster.

He hasn't been playing behind 3 All Pro lineman, two of them potentially future Hall of Famers. This should be factored into the assessment of the player.

Kyler Murray played behind essentially the same line and showed he has talent. The problem with Rosen is he hasn't been that good in the pros. Even Gilbert last year with a bad line against Pittsburgh was fairly effective.
