2021 expectations offense and defense

Since other posters understood I'll break it down for you.

So when I say I think we will feel better about the defense than the offense....that means the defense won't be nearly as bad as last year but the offense won't be as high as it was last year.

To break it down even further for you.....

I can see the defense being top 15 and us feeling GREAT about that. I could see the offense being top 10 and feeling good about that.

Now is there anything else I can help you with?

Way to soften up your stance after getting called out on it. But its still completely laughable. So are you saying Dak is getting hurt? Thats the only way this offense would drop all the way to 10th.

I didn’t soften it like I said plenty of other posters understood it lol. You’re the only one lol.

What I’m saying is I think the Cowboys are going to have a more balanced team. If they win like I predict them to it has to be with them controlling clock. It won’t be as fantasy football friendly. If this team starts off slow like they have been they are going to find themselves in a situation like last season with it without Dak.

There is a lot that can be covered here but I’ll keep it relatively short and to the point. Obviously the offensive side of the ball has more talent and higher expectations going into this season.

However, in relation to what the expectations are for each unit - I actually have more confidence that the defense is going to perform at or above expectations for this coming season. What are your expectations for each unit - let’s just use PPG for both and which unit do you feel will perform better in regards to those expectations?

Expectations
Offense - top 5
Defense - around 24th (near bottom quarter)

What I think will happen
Offense - top 10
Defense - top 20

concerns: Concerned about K. Moore/not sure he can handle the expectations of this unit. Also worried about the health of the OL for a full season
I also seem to have much more confidence in Quinn that any other coach on this staff, fat mike included.

I expect the defense to be better
But that's a really low bar to clear.
Parsons alone will bring improvement

A top 10 offense but I'm afraid it's gonna be one dimensional and pass happy. If Zeke plays and shows the burst he's been lacking, that could propel this offense into the top 5.

Defense in the 18 to 14 range. I like the infusion of speed. Still not completely sold on the DTs.

What constitutes as “coming for you”? It’s clearly something bothering you because you’ve been doing this for months.

I'll be honest....I think we all sort of assume the offense will be top 5.....I have a strong feeling we are going to feel better about this defense than we are the offense by season's end........

I kinda feel the same. I think that the offense is going to disappoint, mainly because I think the OL is not going to be what we expect. It just feels like the sum is less than the parts. Our Super Bowl teams it was the opposite. They were better as group than they were as individuals.

Defense has given me some hope. There are a lot of guys that seem to be going 100 miles an hour. I think that will pay dividends.

The defense shutout the Texans for the remainder of the first half when the majority of the first teamers were playing.

Didn't give up a third-down conversion in the first half (0 of 6) & after giving up 18 yards rushing that first possession, held Houston to just 25 on the next 10 carries.

I think the offense will fall short of expectations while the defense will exceed them, over 17 games.

Some folks seem to think the offense will be the second coming of the greatest show on turf. That seems a bit lofty to me. Defensively, the team should improve week to week but there will probably be some bruised egos early on.

The Cowboys have had a negative turnover differential the last two seasons. Getting back on the plus side would help both units.
