Based on all we know, would Dak be a first round pick

He would have been in the top 2 knowing what we now. We know wentz wouldn’t have been top 3 I don’t think. I would have been comfortable taking him 1st over all. Wish he didn’t break the leg/ankle.

This is an embarrassing thread. I don’t care about another Dak thread. It’s not an intelligent thread.

What’s wrong with the thread. He’s asking if they held the 2016 draft again. Where would Dak go?

the answer is #1 overall.

It’s a good bar room discussion topic. To be honest.

Nobody would admit this but in 2016 draft redu Jaylon would go in the first round. There are not 32 players from that draft that had a better career then him.

You look at that first round, it really sucked. Jalen Ramsey is likely the first pick off the boards with, maybe, Joey Bosa (although he's been injured much of his career), and then possibly Dak.

What? I like Dak. I just don't think he's an elite QB.

I am not 100% sold on Dak. Probably 70-30, 80-20 leaning to 85-15 maybe. I wanted to see more going into last season. Then the injury, so now that transfers to this season.
However, I think he can be elite, and I am ok with him signing his deal.
I just do not care for all the hate he gets which is unwarranted. But I am that way about most players within reason.

I am glad he is our QB, but I need to see that next step. Which I believe it will happen this season.

Any draft? No, not any draft, but the 2016 draft. Yes.
He would be top 3 in any draft and number 1 in most since 2016 if teams knew then what they know now about him which is the premise of the question
He’d be the only player you knew what you had and that is huge

If the 2000 draft were today, Tom Brady would be #1.......
In 2005 Aaron Rodgers would have been #1......

the beauty of 20/20 hindsight, eh?

Kirk Cousin wouldn't have gone No. 1 overall.
Daniel Jones wouldn't have.
Carson Wentz wouldn't have.
Jared Goff wouldn't have.
Jameis Winston ...
Marcus Mariota ...

There's no doubt Tom Brady and Aaron Rodgers would have gone No. 1 in their class as would Patrick Mahomes. But they are the elite of the elite. I don't think it's the same with those quarterbacks who aren't considered the elite of the elite.

Dak is considered good. But not widely considered among the Bradys, Rodgers and Mahomeses. That's why I asked this question.

most likely although since he almost snapped his foot off, teams may want to see how he plays first, so right now maybe a second
