We all have that sinking feeling about the OL

He was stable in 2019 as he came into his own, then missed last season w/ a hip injury. You're thinking he regressed?

Hard to say. On a couple of podcasts, I heard his lateral quickness that he used to have isn't there, which is completely understandable. I've also heard chatter about him having a bone on bone condition. It's too early to say what kind of season he'll have, but there's enough creeks going on along the offensive line to warrant a heavier investment in next year's draft.
 
The unit is anything but "old". C'mon. These guys can play well into their mid to late 30's.

I do have reservations about Biadaz (sp?) And if Tyron really, really wants to play football. JMO, of course.

yes but how much do Martin,Collins and Tyron make per year combined? I am guessing around 60 mil.
They need to earn it.

If Collins couldn't go then you kick out Williams or Free and put in McGovern. OH NO!!! SINKING FEELINGS!

If you really are trying to undermine confidence you should go after the DL where Gholston and Gallimore are hurt.

The boundary corner not named Diggs is a problem. Brown gets picked on and Fats and Wright are way raw.

Range at FS with Kazee is average at best. Wilson's groin. He is awesome when healthy.

I see all that but then there is the other side of the coin.

Gregory looks to have elite quickness, lean, and bend. His handwork is constant, consistent and violent.
Parsons and Odighizuwa are phenoms.
Osa and Bohanna are playing well.
Urban and Watkins look serviceable.
LVE and Smith look better than last year.
Neal and Kazee look ready to contribute.
Armstrong and Anae have developed a lot.
Diggs looks ready to pick up from where he left off last year.
Canady ahs been a revelation.
Biadasz shows some pop in the run game and is excellent in space. Great balance and chance of direction.
Williams looks stronger and more consistent.
Collins has a bit of rust but the quickness and power can be seen.
Smith and Martin look to be in the conversation for best at their position.
There is good developmental depth with Alcarnon and Fiarnok. Ball remains intriguing.
Our TE are talented and versatile.
We might have the best WR trio with Cooper, Lamb and Gallup. You can line them up however you want across the formation.
Zeke and Pollard are complete RB. Zeke look quicker and remains a talented power back. Pollard has excellent speed.


There's a lot to like about this team.
 
I'm not worried about the oline. Very young RG and center. elite LT, RT AND RG
 
The refusal of the Cowboys' FO to find and sign qualified backups highlights one of their many failures. It's absurd that they're so willing to allow their roster to be riddled with a corps of incompetent backups.
Here's hoping the final cuts will serve their ongoing mission to get something for nothing!:thumbup:

It's not looking clear at all that age has caught up with the oline. Trouble is, we have no real visibility into the health status of the players.

Let me paint the rosey scenario, which just may be true.

Tyron: Reports are that supposedly Tyron is fixed up and should last for years.
Martin: Coming off the best PFF grade of his career.
Collins: Despite the walk and talk with medical personnel, AFAIK, AFAYK, he's just fine.
Williams: Ranked in the top quarter of the league for Gs in 2020. Could make a push at a pro bowl in 2021.
Biadasz: Rimington award winner who got a full and healthy offseason to train. Should be a big jump in performance. Was probably the steal of our 2020 draft.

Martin, Tyron, and Collins on team friendly contracts for years to come.
Biadasz on a 4th round rookie contract.
McGovern ready to step in to start at LG when Williams leaves and gives us a fat comp pick.

In the Rosey Scenario, we're set on the oline with an *extra* starter in McGovern this year, set at 4 positions for years to come, and only have to even think about needing a new starter in 2023 at LG.

Our Offence is stacked. The O line will do better than you think ye scalawag!
