I only read 3 points and liked the post.

Your team isn't dominant when the defense finishes ranked #31 of 32 teams, so the following draft is heavy on defensive picks.

And then you’re sit several years for that rookie class to have a impact that makes a real difference while skipping free agency.

I have often wondered if you saw a nekkit alien, how do you know what NOT to look at? hmmmmmm. very interesting.
If the wifey is there too, I look at a tree n pretend not to notice the alien is nekkid!!!!

@plasticman Your list is nothing but a futile attempt at humor. A lot of what you wrote is sheer nonsense.

All teams celebrate division titles. Even the dominant ones. It is the first goal of many goals. All teams and fans hope to go deep in the playoffs. The draft is exciting for many teams and fans and has nothing to do with ‘dominance.’ Rookies can significantly impact a season. Me believing this fact means my team is not dominant? Me believing this about another team means that team is not dominant? Ravens’ kicker Tucker is relevant. That means the Ravens are not dominant?

You tried to mock fans who believe certain things and, at the same time, whine about lack of dominance, ignoring the fact that the two are totally unrelated.

I disagree with multiple of items on that list. Otherwise some item would be funny.
- Draft day as the highlight of the year for fans of losing teams is sadly funny.

    • All fans pay attention to free agency.
  • 7. Your team's YouTube game highlight videos are always ten minutes shorter than their opponents.
    • Probably the opposite is true. Most YouTube highlight videos are made by fans. Fans of losing teams use highlights to make themselves feel better.
  • 8. You believe rookies can significantly impact the outcome of the season.
    • In the modern era rookies often have a big impact. It has happened multiple time with the Patriots and other SB teams.
  • 9. You are constantly considering outlandish trade scenarios.
    • There are fans from all teams that post these types of ideas. It a way for the fan to feel like they've injected themselves into the team discussion.

    • Tyron, Martin, Frederick, Dez, Witten, Zeke, Sean Lee when healthy, Byron Jones in 2019, Amari Cooper, etc..

So you will be able to tell when your team is dominant.

1. You don't wonder if they will win. You wonder how much they will win by.

2. When they lose, it's the "upset of the day" and the "sports story of the week".

3. At away games, opponent fans treat the game as if it the Super Bowl.

4. Opponents always give your team their best game but your team still wins.

5. Opponent fans grumble that your team is just "lucky".

6. If a fan from a different team is debating which of the two teams are best they rant about intangibles like number of Pro Bowl players, the prowess of their QB..... You end the debate with a couple 4-5 word facts that usually include a number of championships.

7. Regular season games are fun to watch. However, as far as you are concerned, they are nothing more than qualifying matches to determine seeding.

8. You check out the results of the NFL draft after it's over. Why wait six hours for your team to finally pick some linebacker or lineman in the first round?

9. Rookies don't start. Other than a rookie QB, whose job it is to carry the clipboard while standing next to the coach, rookies play on special teams and the last five minutes of the 4th quarter...frequently.

10. Your team's real season is the playoffs.

11. Losing a conference championship means your team had a very bad year.

1. You celebrate division titles.

2. You hope your team can "go deep in the playoffs"

3. One of the most exciting days for you as a fan is the NFL draft.

I am a fan of a team that had 20 consecutive winning seasons. I know what it was like to be the fan of a dominant team.

I am a fan of a team that hasn't reached a conference championship in the past 26 years. I know what that feels like as well.

I can tell you with absolute certainty, those feelings are different from each other. The mindset is different. The priorities are different.

Of course I am making fun of the fans! That also includes myself. To others that aren't afflicted with our "FANaticism", we are funny people.

In the 70's, a Cowboy fan that celebrated a division title was pathetic. Younger fans do not realize this, how can they, but once your team reaches an NFC championship game, you never accept less as an achievement.

If you have been a Cowboy fan for less than 27 years then you don't understand this. However, if the Cowboys reach the NFC championship game and they lose, you will understand completely. Losing a conference championship game burns. The only remedy is for your team to return to that playoff level and win.

A division championship goes to 8 teams every season, 25% of the NFL teams and their fans can make the same claim. To fans of an elite team, it is merely a checkpoint along the way. Again, if you have been a fan for less than 27 years then you have no idea what that feels like and I understand.
