I still don't know how Rodgers hung onto the ball when Jeff Heath smashed him from behind. That should have ended the game.

Because Heath didn't go for the ball, only the hit. No way he doesn't get that ball out if he just punches the elbow or chops the arm. Scandrick was right there for the scoop.

While that may be correct, 98% of all QB's would have dropped that ball. But unfortunately, Rodgers is one of the 2%

Dallas never beat Joe Montana either, in games that Montana started.
Michael Vick claimed to be on that list. I guess he forgot the losses.

Of course the refs did us no favors either as our d-lineman were being blatantly held on that down field pass Rodgers made!! Should have been called back....but alas, it is what it is.

No doubt about it! I remember David Irvin complaining about something after that play. Troy and Joe didn't even mention it. It wasn't until after the game when I realized what David was so upset about. You can't see the ref in this screen shot but he's standing on the left hashmark at the 20 yardline. He had the perfect view but didn't call it for some reason. The two Packers basically tackled him.

Even if you think a hold took place on that play, a still shot shows you absolutely nothing if you can't see the motion, momentum on the play. Same for pass interference.

I wonder if that hit is even legal anymore. I can't keep up with the softer NFL. AND damn he should've swiped at that ball.

That hold was plain as day. Right in front of the ref as well. I dont need to see the video again or the momentum because it's etched into my mind. It was 100% obvious hold. BS.

The two Packers basically tackled David. And I don't think you can wrap your arms around a defender from BEHIND, because that's what he did.

I just watched the ending again to refresh my mind. A big play that we forget about is the one before Heath sacking Rodgers. It's 2nd and 10 with 30 seconds to play, they call a RB screen to the left side and it looks like Byron Jones made a POOR effort trying to tackle the RB. I think the RB was Sean Lee's man and he loses him in the mix because he's too close to the line of scrimmage. The play picked up almost 20 yards when Byron or Lee could've prevented it.

The wording on the holding penalty is "materially restrict." So, yes, you can if you aren't materially restricting. Doesn't say you can't restrict, otherwise there'd be no touching allowed period. But my main point is a still photo ain't gonna show holding because it's a motion penalty.

He's never played the 2021 Cowboys though.
You are so optimistic.. and that is such a great attribute.
IMHO the only way we come away 1-0 week one is if we can disrupt Brady, I know that sounds so simplistic, but it is truly the only way we come out with a win.
Unleash the hounds, bring Tank, Gregory, Parsons, I know the conservative approach says only in certain situations, hell no.
The GOAT beats all game plans, try and get cute and Brady beats you, if your conservative you loose, at least go in swinging and get the GOAT concerned or out on a stretcher.
Thats the only way this team comes out 1-0.

I see a lot of pick plays coming against a young secondary. Check the ball inflation, look for cameras at practice, etc.
You been holding back... bring it .. its game 1 time :yourock:

Imagine if the Cowboys had drafted Brady in 2000.

It’s actually too painful to think about.
