I Think it is all a bad idea.
I wonder how fans that bought jayons 54 feel about him now being # 9?
Longtime fans now have to get used to qb#s playing as lb and cb lol it is weird.
I guess it may sell more jerseys but will make the game more confusing to fans.

Also fans have to learn new #s , and no longer can identify positions by #s.

It is a money grab by owners, and example of coddling players.

they should consider putting a players name at waist level, so you can see the name if they have long hair.
