Is Anthony Brown the starter?

If Brown or even Diggs has issues Cannady will be inserted . I don’t see Dan Quinn as either patient or hesitant .

Just not sure they feel Canady is any better as a starting corner. Any success he's had is as a nickel corner.

Just wanted to get all the ducks in a row and make sure I got it that he is the starting outside CB. I don't trust Wright to start he is a rookie, aside from that the only other choice is Canaday.
I don't know how much the coaches are in favor for Canaday to start over Brown who was penciled back in May or whatever as the starter.

I think a lot of people are overestimating Canady. He’s been in the league for a little while now and isn’t a guy that should be starting: neither of course is Brown, Lewis or right now Wright or Joseph ...so we’ve got a problem.

But, to the OPs question, from everything you see and hear it will be Brown week 1 Right now I suspect Canady will be the first guy to come in if injury. He has played the slot mostly here but has played outside in the past also. I do hope Wright (and when healthy Joseph) gets a few snaps here and there to maybe show he can do it. Otherwise it will be painful all year watching this group get beat week after week. Hopefully a better pass rush and safety play once Hooker and Kazee are out there together in the nickel will help.

Canady played primarily NCB in the preseason.

Joseph and Wright were the 2nd string outside CBs with Canady as the 2nd string NCB.

Starters Diggs, Brown & Lewis.

They used Kearse as the Big Nickel DB in a hybrid Safety/LB role.

i say we dotn have an issue and sicne games are not payed yet, im correct no problem has been evidenced at this juncture..
they all can play in the nfl..what no pb or hof aspirations so they suk? they dont..get over it..you have not seen them play in this defense with this group..so save the drama ok..jeezs..

Brown has been a solid player for multiple years.

He has been better at NCB than Lewis.

Brown has been solid when he started regular season games on the outside but that has been a small number of games.

While true, the Cowboys seem to think he’s a nickel CB. That’s where he’s played in preseason. If one of our outside corners get hurt based on what they’ve shown it seems like they would go to Joseph.

The last pick he got in practice was as outside cb. Dallas has made plenty of dumb decisions so them being late on this isnt shocking.



You can call it accurately all you want. Its still a terrible decision. I forgot Dallas gives away spots lol.
