Will Tampa go 17-0?

17-0? LOL. Just hell no. I can see them losing 4 or 5. Why are people acting like this Tampa team is the 70’s Steelers, 85 Bears, 80’s 9er’s, or 90’s Cowboys? They’re not! They’re good but they’re far from one of the best teams ever. They’re very beatable.

So you’re using his record with the Browns in order to prove he can’t win in this league without Brady lol? He also took that crappy Browns team to the playoffs.

I get it. Discredit Bill to make Brady’s legacy look better than it is. But the fact is, if it wasn’t for Bill we may have never even seen Brady play. Most coaches would’ve stuck with Bledsoe.

The Browns were in the playoffs 5 out of 6 seasons before Belichick became head coach, including 3 AFC Championship game appearances.

The Browns made the playoffs once during Belichick’s 5 years as head coach there.

But the real test was 2008, as I mentioned earlier. That team was loaded (18-1 the previous season), they had one of the easiest schedules in NFL history and failed to make the playoffs without Brady. The only time that happened between 2003-2019.

No excuses for Bill this year after setting an NFL record on free agent spending this past off-season.

Bill needs a GOAT quarterback to have success. There isn’t anything wrong with that. He’s not alone.

BB got the Pats to 11-5 with Matt Cassell at QB. Which blows your entire argument away.

That was 5 games worse than the previous season despite having an easier schedule.

Belichick failed to win the division with Matt Cassell despite having an extremely talented team other than at QB.

Belichick has made a lot of boneheaded moves for someone who is supposed to be the greatest coach ever. His wanting to keep Jimmy G and get rid of Brady tops the list of course.

But don’t forget Bill’s stubbornness to not play Malcolm Butler in Super Bowl LII. He let Nick Foles put up 41 points on his defense! Brady did everything he could to try and win, throwing for 505 yards (an NFL record for a playoff game) and 33 points, but Bill cost them another ring.

Spending money in free agency doesn’t guarantee anything lol. As a matter of fact most teams that do it continue to stink. They have upgraded theri talent no doubt but his quarterback is Mac Jones. A rookie.

I look at their team and they are better than us in EVERY way. I would even go as far as to say they have better pass catchers that we do, which is our biggest strength.

Its the only thing left for Brady to do. I would never doubt him.

Best part about football is we can still win on Thursday. As unlikely as that might be.

Brady is part of the only other team to have an undefeated regular season besides the Dolphins in the SB era. So no way am I going on record and saying never. Not that it matters. I also think Tampa will peak this season. That said, I'd guess no because I think in one of those games the ball will simply bounce the wrong way for them. Similar to the way it did to the 18-0 Patriots in the SB.

More excuses and the season hasn’t even started.

I’m just calling it like I see it. What all pro talent did they bring in free agency that I’m missing?

Did the Patriots not spend $159.6 million in guaranteed salary for free agents in the off season, an NFL record? Bill chose the players he wanted.

He drafted a QB in the first round.

He should be set.

Bill has no excuses this year if he doesn’t have success.

They’re a very good team, but they’ll do well to win more than 12… They’re far from being one of the great teams to win the SB.
They’ll have to deal with things like the opposition being more fired up when they play them, maybe a few of their players won’t be as hungry as last season and also their squad is a year older.
Will they win their division, yes… but not sure they’ll win more than one in the playoffs.

Ok what premier players did he bring in? Or are you saying money builds a contender?

The NFL is all about the QB. It’s no coincidence that the top 4 QBs all made the Championship game last year.

Bill had great success with the GOAT. Without him his record is terrible, and the sample size is large so it’s no fluke.

Bill got rid of Brady because he wanted to prove he can win without him. The problem is that he can’t. He actually wanted to replace Brady with Jimmy G. Think about that. He’s a genius!
